Over the course of the summer, Street Food Cinema rolls out more than a dozen events that showcase the greatest hits of the silver screen and the LA food-truck scene. When the gates open, guests spread blankets on the grass and pop open coolers. Live bands play until dusk, when crowd-pleasing movies such as Fight Club and The Sandlot across the big screen. Meanwhile, a rotating food-truck schedule assembles a diverse curbside lineup, which might include asian-inspired tacos from Komodo or the gooey delights of The Grilled Cheese Truck. Their events also feature movie-themed games projected on the big screen for audience participation. During showcases, artisan vendors are on hand selling fresh baguettes, fine meats, and sweets for purchase.
Street Food Cinema's eclectic assemblage of food, music, and films has picked up attention beyond the park's bounds, snagging mentions on NBC4 and in the Huffington Post's Broke Girls Guide. Resembling a space ship abandoned by aliens who had recently time-traveled to hang out with Le Corbusier, The Glass House is a portal to rock and dance sounds for music-lovers of all ages. It’s also a cornerstone of downtown Pomona’s close-knit arts district, surrounded by record stores, cafes, and vintage shops. Holiday-themed shows and fundraising concerts join young, on-the-rise bands on the calendar, along with established favorites such as New Found Glory and The Faint.
Training By Tye fitness is an ongoing indoor workout program that brings fitness instruction and motivational training together in a fun filled, activity packed workout! Teaching and allowing for better fat loss though positive thinking, goal-oriented living, & better daily choices when it comes to nutrition.
Run or Dye is making race running a little more colorful, one major city at a time. This 5K is divided up into four separate courses of varying lengths, each designated by a separate color––which also reflects the color of safe, eco-friendly powered dye the participants get splashed with. At the end of the race, they'll cross into the aptly-named Dye Zone—a polychromatic free-for-all, where fluorescent color is thrown freely from all sides, allowing runners to splash their fellow runners or get colorful revenge on their friends, family members, and any cranky art-history teachers that happen to be walking by.
Unlike some races that rank runners by time, Run or Dye only measures success in color and fun. While the safe-to-eat dyes should wash out of clothing, runners are encouraged to wear things they don't mind getting dirty, preferably in white, gray, or another neutral color to give the dyes maximum visibility.

Apart from your business's main attraction, do you offer any "hidden" services or activities that visitors are always delighted to learn about?
[We have the] largest collection of German Mettlach Ware (1850?1915), including plates and steins on permanent display [with] over 3,000 pieces in our collection. Also, our building was previously a bank so there are hidden vaults displaying smaller ceramic exhibits. We have all-ages classes in our ceramic studio and kiln-firing services available. AMOCA also has a growing library of books and periodicals dedicated entirely to ceramics.
Festivities, live music, and prizes intertwine with fulfilling 5K trots at events organized by Active Runs. For more than 20 years, Active Runs has set out to create events that appeal not only to avid runners but to casual participants interested in trying their first run. Although the courses themselves would be reason enough to participate, the organizers also collaborate with race directors to create themed runs, such as Green Sneakers and Day of the Dead, that feature face painting, foot venders, and art festivals?as well as T-shirts and drinks for guests. And since the money raised benefits charities, runners have an even worthier reason to strap on their shoes and don their most aerodynamic running sombrero. Crossing the finish line first isn't the only way to win, though. Competitions for traditional costumes, biggest teams, and most creative team name also keep things interesting, doling out prizes to winners of each category.
