Founded by Chief Master William Clark, Karate America is a popular martial-arts school that believes martial arts can make people happier and healthier. With locations around Florida, Karate America is staffed by highly trained instructors teaching children and adults the self-defense moves of tae kwon do, krav maga, and kickboxing. While training in a team-like atmosphere in each of these classes, members learn self-discipline and respect, gain lean muscle, and burn calories.
A joint venture between a professional boxer and a team of successful kickboxing-equipment tycoons, Title Boxing Club maintains a network of dozens of studios spread across more than 20 states, winning over a devoted clientele with its invigorating and engaging boxing- and kickboxing-themed classes. Each workout uses the heart-healthy exercise of cardio training to satisfy people?s innate desire to punch and kick something other than a broken jukebox. Participants build lithe, strong muscle tissue by delivering powerful blows to punching bags, and build flexibility and agility by practicing roundhouse kicks and hooks. Students can build their core strength and endurance with medicine balls and burpees, enlist a qualified personal trainer to practice their newfound skills in the ring, or just torch calories during intense full-body Power Hour workouts.
For the past five years, Boxing Bunnies has been run by owner and sole trainer Ann Marie Route?a boxer with over six years of experience and certification as a USA Boxing coach. Ann Marie strives to create camaraderie among her students as she challenges them with constantly changing routines filled with real boxing drills. To ensure her students are up to the test, Ann Marie holds optional sparring sessions.
Certified personal trainer Samantha Shay leads small groups of female campers through intense strength-training and cardio exercises in the verdant expanse of Gardner Field. The inspiring trainers at each MetaBody location lead troops of workouteers in results-oriented workouts several times weekly. Fun sweat sessions utilize a variety of exercises and disciplines to produce full-body results in a supportive environment ideal for both beginners and hard-core core hardeners alike. Begin a day of litigating with a refreshing early-morning boot-camp session, or wind down by burning caloric evidence with a late-evening yoga class. Muscles are kept guessing with new and challenging moves during each session, so participants never fall into a boring, ineffective routine, such as regular teeth brushing. In addition to the fitness classes, students receive a success guide to help prepare for imminent pound loss, a nutrition guide, and a $100 gift certificate for individual coaching. Since the pass sets a 10-class cap at any given location, roving fitness mavens can further shake up their workout regimen by vetting a series of classes or instructors that work best for them.
A former member of the Puerto Rican national boxing team and a certified personal trainer, Hector Morales lends his considerable experience to The Boxing Yard. There, he leads fun and exciting classes in an old-school boxing gym with the telling motto, "Bare bones, high-quality, results-oriented training." Sixty-minute cardio-boxing classes work with a heavy bag but don't involve actual sparring. Instead, students simulate three-minute rounds of boxing with one-minute intervals of shadowboxing, hitting the heavy bag, working the speed bag, and doing mitt work.
