Drawing from experience in activities such as surfing, kiteboarding, snowboarding, and wakeboarding, the staff at Sandy Point Progressive Sports pour all of their energy into instructing others in outdoor extreme sports. They helm one-on-one lessons on kitesurfing and standup paddleboarding throughout central Florida’s waters, as well as kayak and standup paddleboard eco tours, during which guides point out native plants and wildlife while helping paddlers navigate wetlands, rivers, and inlets. As part of their involvement in the local community, they also conduct free kayaking and standup-paddleboarding demonstrations, where representatives of popular brands arrive with new equipment to test and then sacrifice to Poseidon in exchange for fair waters. In addition to lessons, staffers rent and sell up-to-date gear such as backpacks for hiking and camping, canoes and kayaks, and kiteboards and snowboards.

The guides from Calypso Kayaking Tours take explorers into native wildlife habitats of the Florida inter-coastal waterway, traversing the shorelines in search of bottle nosed dolphins. The kayaks come within a few feet of the marine mammals, and patrons have an opportunity to wade in shallow waters. Guides also conduct trips to the Port Orange Wildlife Sanctuary, where Brown Pelicans, egrets, and herons play poker in the mudflats.

Guests are never far from the sand or surf at Hidden Treasure Tiki Bar & Grill, where American cuisine meets ocean views. Fittingly, the menu is stuffed to the gills with seafood, from wild gator-tail and crab-cake appetizers to entrees of Maine lobster, stuffed shrimp, and sea scallops. Diners can also chow down on burgers, pasta, and barbecued pork chops. The laid-back spot combines these eats with on-the-water fun by renting out hydrobikes.

Quin's takes visitors on guided tours of Daytona Beach's inland waterways, where explorers can get a boat's-eye view of the region's wildlife and ecosystems. Kayakers can make wake on the St. Johns or Tomoka rivers, where they're likely to encounter manatees, alligators, osprey, bald eagles, retirees, and other wildlife that inhabit the secluded areas. Paddle independently or make it a duo in a tandem kayak—participants can fill the second seat for $30. Quin's sets up a rendezvous point when customers book a tour and, like a transatlantic field trip, all necessary kayaks, life jackets, water, and snacks are provided. Although not included with this Groupon, tickets for kiddos 4 to 14 years old are $25, so kayakers can also make the tour a family event.

At Daytona Beach Parasail, flightless humans can highlight day trips to Daytona Beach with a parasail adventure. After taking off from the flight deck of a boat piloted by a USCG-licensed captain, customers soar 2,000 feet in the air, which is the perfect height for catching scenic glimpses of the world-famous shoreline. No previous knowledge of parasailing is required. The entire excursion takes about 45 minutes, which includes the boat trip out and back. Single flights last about 8 minutes; customers can team up with Groupon-bearing friends for a tandem flight, which will keep them floating for 14–16 minutes. Pack your camera if you want a friend to snap pictures of your airborne antics. Ferry customers receive free shuttle service to and from the boat.
