Before lubing the chain and adjusting gears, brakes, and bearings, they'll commence the basic tune up by removing dirt from the body and obsolete Football Ballet League trading cards from the spokes. One of these staffers then perform a wheel truing to align wobbly wheels, refill the tires with air, and helm a safety check and test ride to ensure bikes are in tip-top shape. A superior tune-up builds upon the services in the basic tune-up, tacking on a wash and wax of the frame and wheels, as well as a thorough cleaning and greasing of the bottom bracket. They'll also check the bike chain and tire wear. Otherwise, the premium tune up involves a complete overhaul of the bike, commissioning bike gurus to disassemble the entire road warrior before degreasing and polishing all of the parts. How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?
My approach is different than others, because I developed and trained people in functional hand-to-hand tactics for the U.S. Army Rangers and the 82nd Airborne Division. I served 24 years in the military and my tactics and curriculum have been used in real world situations.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
I started training in martial arts at the age of 5. I've developed my curriculum over the years, and founded Combatives Unlimited in 1995.
