Timothy Stimac, owner of the Bremerton salon and spa that bears his name, has traversed the globe in search of new cutting and styling techniques. His thirst for knowledge and frequent-flyer miles led him to train in Italy, where he picked up some new coloring techniques before hopping over to London to work on his cutting skills. Timothy now shares his international knowledge with his team of stylists, who work with professional products to imbue their clients’ hair with rich color and volume. These products include all-natural selections from Aveda, which infuse strands with pure flower and plant essences. While the stylists condition or clip away at hair, nail technicians stationed nearby scrub hands with butter manicures and mango passion pedicures, gently reproving clients who attempt to lick their palms for a sample of the fruit-infused salves.
Nothing brings people together quite like a shared meal. Toro Lounge’s menu boasts tapas in two sizes to accommodate groups or appetites of any size. As if that wasn't enough to feel good about, the dishes, which change with the seasons, boast locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Petite plates might include decadent bites such as dates stuffed with goat cheese, white anchovies on crostini, and a grilled pear salad, while larger tapas include tacos, empanadas, and, ironically, short ribs. To keep the feel-good vibes flowing, the lounge also curates a hefty drink list that includes cocktails and craft beers from Northeast microbreweries, including 20 on tap.
Terra Zen Salon evokes an earthy flair with rich mocha- and cream-hued walls and plenty of potted foliage. The stylists cut new dos on women, men, and children, from classic bobs and crewcuts to face-flattering layers. They can also infuse locks with a little drama via highlights, perms, and updos for special occasions such as proms and state swim meets.
The technicians at Inspiritu Salon build a community around beauty and preserving the environment as they style their clients? hair, smooth their skin, and relax their muscles with Aveda's nature-based products. They trim women's, men's, and children's shaggy ends as botanical hair and scalp-therapy treatments nourish each strand at its root. The gentle strokes of Swedish massage and the targeted pressure of deep-tissue massage loosen tight muscles, with the option of adding warm stones or Simon Says commands to further relax musculature. To refresh facescapes, the aestheticians moisturize and exfoliate skin during the 30-minute facial, and call on essential oils to reduce the appearance of discoloration and dark spots during the Enbrightenment treatment.
One-hundred years. That’s how long the staff of stylists, aestheticians, and massage therapists have been collectively working in their respective fields. From styling celebrity hair at the Four Seasons Salon in Miami to training at Gene Juarez Salon to designing hair on movie sets and photo shoots, these beauticians possess the experience and talent necessary to give their clients a fresh look and boost in self-confidence. And they do so with a wide slate of beauty treatments. In the salon, Adriana and her stylists cut, color, and treat hairdos. The spa, meanwhile, features mani-pedis, acupuncture, and customized facials that pare down blemishes and wrinkles.
