Grand Central Bowling Lounge's 12 lanes provide bowlers with all the entertainment they could ask for, but the bowling alley doesn't stop there. Grand Central is also outfitted with couches, HD projection screens, and computerized systems that keep track of scores so players don't have to. After a hard-fought game, take a breather at the bar and restaurant, where you can order up a burger and cocktail while catching the day's joust on TV. And don't forget to head upstairs before leaving; the second floor is stocked with classic arcade games, including pinball machines; Fruit Ninja; Batman driving games; four-way Pac-man; beer pong; Big Buck Hunter; Guitar Hero; ESPN Snowmobiling Multicade Classic Games; Dirty Drivin'; Skeeball; Pop-a-shot; air hockey; billiards; shuffleboard; and Operation Ghost.
Grand Central Restaurant and Bowling Lounge surrounds its 12 bowling lanes with leather couches and flickering fireplaces, much like a living room designed by PBA great Earl Anthony. High-definition projection screens broadcast music videos high above each lane, and 20 plasma televisions broadcast live sports events at the bar. Grand Central Restaurant and Bowling Lounge also has a second-level mezzanine, where guests can watch games from above or pretend to be gods of thunder.
For nearly 20 years, guitarist Kenny Lavitz has masterfully blended jazz, rock, and blues into his own distinct sound. When he's not recording critically acclaimed LPs or performing solo and group gigs, he nurtures budding guitarists during one-on-one lessons. Kenny trains beginners in rudimentary techniques, such as strumming basic chord progressions and mastering simple riffs. From there, he helps students refine more complex skills, such as sweep-picking, where you replace your strumming hand with a broom. Besides helping pupils conquer the fretboard, Kenny teaches them to read and transcribe notation, as well as play with fellow musicians during jams with Kenny's other students.
When Lisa Stark's quest for a sensual, laid-back exercise class turned up nothing, she took matters into her own hands. To forge her ideal workout, which is a balance of sexy sizzle and athletic toning, Stark researched popular dance-fitness styles, documented choreography at local clubs, and even enlisted a former exotic dancer to teach her how to kick, saunter, and fill out tax forms in a sensual manner. The months of studying paid off?today, Lisa shares her wit, warmth, and fitness regimen with troupes of women at The Exotic You. Ladies of all fitness levels gather for classes that teach a complete routine of sensual dance moves, checking negative body-talk at the door and summoning their inner vixen out with slow leg extensions and passionate hip rolls.
