Jennifer Kersgaard has a passion for coloring hair, whether it's adding highlights, demi-permanent shades, or full colors. But Jennifer also knows that color can only shine if hair stays strong and healthy and if someone’s holding a lantern to it at all times. To ensure tresses stay strong, Jennifer uses imported, eco-friendly Italian color products with low ammonia levels, and applies deep-conditioning treatments. Of course, the stylist also cuts all types of hair, including curly hair, for which she holds a certification from Deva Curl.

[[m:####Kathy Motter at Valerium Salon
Kathy Motter knows that a "good" haircut is much more than just looks. When the Wella-, Bumble and bumble–, and John Sahag–trained stylist tackles a hairstyle, she first garners an idea of her client’s lifestyle and commitment to daily styling. Once she’s ready, Kathy doesn’t hold back—she snips off strands and imbues locks with color designed not only to enhance the shine and dimension of hair but also to bring out the client’s eyes, enhance their skin tone, or divert attention from their different-sized ears.
Kathy works alongside a host of talented stylists at Valerium Salon, where espresso hues drench the floor and cream tones paint the walls. Inside the relaxing and comfortable space, Kathy can pluck from range of top products, including Bumble and bumble, Pureology, and Wella color.:m]]
Idolizing the fashions he saw in movies, salon owner Valerium Pereira started cutting his family’s hair in the backyard of their home in Brazil. His stylistic sojourn led him to Los Angeles, where he later studied with Beverly Hills icon José Eber and shaped the locks of stars such as Annie Lennox. Now at his own salon, Valerium creates a spa setting for customers that is shaped by the environment around him. The artfully arranged interior boasts cabinetry and hand-chiseled limestone tile made by local artisans, as well as an incandescent chandelier made with cobalt lamps and conflict-free quasar light. The spa’s stylists create chic cuts for their clientele and specialize in color, curly hair, blonding, and extensions, and an aesthetician and a massage therapist help clients feel pampered and de-stressed.
