Capstone Tutor's employees are truly a hand-selected group. Before tutors are sent out on the job, they must pass a rigorous qualification process, from degree confirmation and background checks to personal- and professional-reference interviews. And that’s just the base testing. After achieving the Capstone seal of approval, tutors are then paired with a student whose academic needs match their expertise, unlike other tutoring companies that pair students and tutors based on their hair color. Through this intense process Capstone is able to ensure that students receive instruction from a professional with a proven track record.
If not for the occasional clatter of pins, Bowlmor Lanes' bright and modern decor and its full-service dining room could be mistaken for a lively nightclub. The sleek establishment’s gleaming lanes exude a glamorous charm not often found in bowling alleys. Adding to the ambience is a high-end sports bar and glow-in-the-dark lighting that illuminates each bowling pin.
SkateQuest offers wintery fun throughout the year, enabling hockey players, figure skaters, and recreational skaters to enjoy sliding across frozen frontiers in any season. Public skating sessions on Friday evenings (7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.), Saturday afternoons (1:10 p.m.–3 p.m.), Sunday afternoons (3:10 p.m.–5:10 p.m.), and Wednesday and Friday mornings (11:10 a.m.–12:40 p.m.) allow water walkers to scathe the chilled surface during times when the rink is not reserved for hockey or ice-fishing practices. In addition to the well maintained, twin-sheet of solid cloud tears, SkateQuest houses a newly remodeled pro shop stocked with professional hockey and figure skating accouterments. In between skating sessions, patrons may enjoy a sandwich, coffee, or calzone from the SkateQuest Café.
During the Gold Rush, Prospector Pete staked his claim, eager to find his share of gold. Unfortunately for him, the only thing he dug up was water. Today, at Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole, Pete's discovery turns summers golden, with more than an acre of water-filled attractions. In the center of the park rises the old mine site, Pete's Peak, where twin water slides carry riders down to the pools at its base as they squeal with glee or try to calculate their speed based on the moon's gravitational pull. Younger splashers get their feet wet at Tenderfoot Pond, and older guests chase down spikes at the water volleyball courts. A lazy day can be spent circling the park in Rattlesnake River, where a slow current saves swimmers the trouble of paddling.
Kids bounce off the walls of inflatable bouncers, cascade down air-filled slides, and squirm through plush obstacle courses at Pump It Up's indoor playground. Designed with safety in mind, this staff-supervised funhouse excites children's imaginations while they burn off extra energy at open jump.
Also designed as a party venue, the interactive party experiences involve interactive themes such as Pirate Quest and Superhero Training Camp, which challenges kids to decode secret messages as they listen to an adventuresome soundtrack. To fuel parties, parents can purchase pop, pizza, and cake, alongside balloons and goodie bags. Strengthening both imagination and body, Pump It Up also offers Jump-N-Art summer camps, where kids replicate Picasso's creative process of painting, then getting dizzy in an inflatable mansion.
Bowling isn’t just a hobby at 300 New York—it’s a vibrant social experience worthy of luxurious flourishes. That’s why cushioned lounge seats flank each of the 32 mood-lit lanes in the main concourse area. Each of these lanes faces a large screen that flashes music videos and tutorials on how to remove stuck fingers from bowling balls. Up in The Loft, bowlers can lounge and take in views of the concourse while sipping cocktails from the full-service bar. A dedicated wait staff connects them to offerings from the onsite bar and restaurant—an eatery known for serving dishes from executive chef Chad Bowser’s menu. Some of Chad’s creations include two-bite chicken or beef sliders and hand-battered fried calamari that can be paired with anything from beer to specialty martinis.
