Bonnie Stromer, a registered art therapist, opened Xpressive Arts Center to make art programs available for everyone in the community, animating her belief that the arts are an important form of communication. Inside the historic stone building, instructors lead an array of classes in printmaking, beadwork, and painting. Art-therapy sessions are led by a registered art therapist specializing in treating children who have behavioral problems and adults who suffer from depression; the art therapist palliates these afflictions by stoking the flames of each individual’s artistic expressivity. During the popular BYOB painting sessions, groups of painters bond and learn new techniques over wine, beer, or basically any kind of matter that starts with the letter b. A variety of parent-and-child classes, such as Mommy and Me sessions and family craft nights, helps strengthen the bond of caregivers and tots through artistic expression and paste.

This 8,000-square-foot facility houses five indoor batting areas to train baseball beaters on customized pitching machines capable of launching fast balls and curve balls at speeds of 25 to 90 mph, faster than the speed of black light moving toward a felt Don Mattingly. Each cage provides pop-fly pilots with helmets, bats, and baseballs. Hardball Sports Academy also includes two cages equipped for live pitching with L-screens that protect the delicate exoskeletons of warm-blooded lobbers.
The staff and guest chefs at Cooking 4 Life share the healthy recipes they've developed through years of resisting America's fast food lifestyle. In specialty classes, chefs demonstrate techniques to help food to retain its nutritional value without sacrificing flavor, texture, or aerodynamic properties. These techniques can be practiced on the high-grade, stainless steel Saladmaster cookware used by the school, which will not radiate harmful chemicals into food. The culinary team helps to educate clients at home with its Dinner Show, at which they host a cooking demo in clients' kitchens for up to eight guests, showing them how to make heart-healthy food that retains its nutritional value without being flavorless or bland.
