  • J Q's B Sit 2
After a stint on the Junior Olympics sprinting team and dip into the limelight on the UK television series Gladiator, Jonquil Baugh refocused her passion for physical prowess into helping other people achieve their desired level of fitness. She puts her extensive experience to use by providing individuals and small groups with personal training suitable for all fitness levels. During 30- and 60-minute group classes, trainers lead workouts that incorporate functional, strength, and cardiovascular exercises. Students cycle through a range of routines, interspersing interval-style workouts that involve brief periods of intense exertion with longer periods of sustained, less-strenuous activity. In the studio, clients can focus on cardio with indoor cycling, or tone and strengthen with Pilates and yoga. See the class schedule.

  • The Bar Method Westwood
The Bar Method is a single full-body workout?but in a way, it seems more like four workouts. The class?which takes place at the ballet barre and on mats?blends interval training, toning isometrics, dance conditioning, and elements of physical therapy. Participants improve posture and work all the major muscle groups at the West Plaza or Leawood locations. The Bar Method also transforms physiques?flattening abs, toning arms, and slimming thighs. For added convenience, workout participants can sign up their kids for childcare at the studio's kids room while they attend class.

  • Radiant Yoga
While their toes dig into the glossy bamboo floors, students stretch their arms to the ceiling, feeling the hot air curl around their fingertips as their muscles relax into the posture. As light streams in from the windows, an instructor leads the students through one of many classes held at Radiant Yoga, which are designed to suit all fitness levels. Newcomers starting in Yoga Basics get a feel for the proper alignment and foundational asanas before graduating to the titular Radiant Hot Yoga, which covers core- and strength-building moves in a studio heated to 90–95 degrees. Yoga therapy also helps those with musculoskeletal imbalances or painful childhood memories of playing a perfectly still tree in a school play.
