Greg Molkentin may have found inner peace through yoga and meditation, but that doesn't mean he likes to sit still. As the yogi behind Yoga With Greg, he shares his favorite yogic style - the flowing movements of vinyasa - with students throughout the week. Sometimes, he does this in a classroom, but, twice monthly, he also leads yoga-based hikes into local parks. He and his pupils climb the sandy dunes of Bakers Beach to catch glimpses of the Golden Gate Bridge before mimicking the architectural marvel with their bodies. Alternatively, they find watery ocean vistas between the trees in Land's End park, where they let the asana flow like the waves.
And even on these outdoor excursions, a large part of Greg's practice remains focused on meditation. Beyond his 200-hour yoga teacher certification, he also has 15 years of meditation experience with eight years of retreat practice in Kyoto, Japan.
Kathleen Kane sees the pursuit of fitness as an endless journey marked by constant striving for an ideal. She named her fitness enterprise after “kaizen,” a Japanese word meaning “continual improvement.” Kathleen and her fellow trainers help students strive for that ideal through personal training and sweat-soaked group boot-camp sessions. A student of sports psychology, Kathleen pays special attention to positive encouragement and can offer brief pep talks through phone calls, emails, or a cheerleading squad sent to your front yard. The fitness fiends at Kaizen also offer sports-specific training as well as motocross-specific training.

During a comprehensive dental exam at James D. Kim DDS Family Dentistry, Dr. Kim and his smile-staff x-ray face caverns to reveal any hidden fang, gum, and bone problems and then mine the mouth-stone area in search of problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, and constantly cursing tongues. After the exam, cuspid-cleaners bathe tusks in a flurry of foam and floss before Dr. Kim checks teeth one last time. Alternatively, patients who wish to brighten their mouth chiclets can opt for a take-home bleaching kit. Dr. Kim customizes the kit by taking an impression of the patient’s mouthscape. He then constructs a snug-fitting tray that holds a professional-grade whitening gel strong enough remove stains from coffee, tea, and squid-ink smoothies, rendering choppers up to eight shades whiter.
