For the instructors at Blacklist Martial Arts & Fitness, learning martial arts is just as much about building community leadership skills as it is about punching and kicking. Committing to this belief, they train students of all ages and experience levels in classes held from morning to night. These programs introduce the range of Brazilian jiu jitsu, muay Thai kickboxing, and submission wrestling techniques—the diversity of skills imparted ensures students don't also have to test which ones their in-laws know. For students 14 years and younger, the studio offers Skillz: a martial arts curriculum for children further attesting to the studio's ability to accommodate a variety of clients.
Blacklist's coaching team is helmed by Brazilian jiu jitsu black-belt Tim Credeur, whose dedication to his craft earned him the nickname "Crazy." He isn't the only dedicated one—all of Blacklist's instructors have competed in gi and no-gi jiu jitsu grappling events, and some in professional kickboxing and MMA tournaments. To instill their passion in students, they allow Blacklist's most experienced trainees to represent the gym at MMA events. They also empower top students to lead some of the studio's classes.

Within the springy confines of Space Walk’s Vertical Rush, tykes ricochet like excited electrons across tunnels, slides, and climbing walls. The springy obstacle course is one of hundreds housed inside Space Walk of Greater New Orleans’ 43,000-square-foot facility. Though those bounce houses typically measure 15’x15’, the facility can supply revelers with inflatables that measure up to 23-feet tall.
To ensure safe gravity defiance, trained bounce experts help parents hone in on an inflatables that suits tykes’ ages, interests and varying Buzz Aldrin impersonations. Additionally, the staff not only delivers and sets up houses, but happily trains party throwers in proper bounce-house technique, along with scrubbing down the houses before and after use.
Their engines emitting a basso purr, a fleet of Honda ATVs and Polaris RZRs tears across more than 450 acres of lowland trails and overgrown puddles at the Bonnet Carré Spillway. Against the watercolor blur of the swampy land, the company’s photographers work to capture action shots of riders surrounded by veils of mud waves in midair. To ensure safety on excursions, ATV Swamp Tour’s instructors prepare patrons to lead the all-terrain vehicles over hills, through deep mud, and around water obstacles. Properly equipped with helmets, boots, eye protection, and knowledge of the ATVs' fears, riders explore sandy beach areas and wooded trails while catching glimpses of native cranes, alligators, and wild hogs.
Bayou’s Edge’s charter fishing trips give customers a chance to catch fish and enjoy spectacular scenery in natural areas. Pack only sunscreen, a lunch, and a drink, as Bayou’s Edge provides all of the necessary gear as well as an ice-filled cooler for you to store your catches in. A staffer will pick fishing parties up from their lodgings and transport them to a remote marsh or swamp where they can take in breathtaking views of natural vegetation, migratory birds, otters, and mystical Darth Vader apparitions for three to four hours. Hop in a comfortable boat or freewheeling kayak and use the complimentary bait to catch redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. A hook-casting guru will mentor the group in the art of fly-fishing, along with the tricky bait-and-switch technique used by many successful pescatarian salesmen. At the end of the excursion, Bayou's edge will clean and package catches before safely depositing fishers back at their hotels, homes, or subterranean supervillain labs.
