Inside swissb?kers, guests wont find standard bakery goods. Instead, everything there is authentically Swiss?including the founders, Helene and Thomas, who may even stop by your table. Baked fresh every morning with no additives or artificial ingredients using recipes created by Helene Stohr, traditional Swiss Berliners as well as sweet and savory croissants line the pastry cases alongside beautiful cakes and tarts. Other fresh-baked goods include a variety of breads like original pretzel rolls and Choco Weggli, treats like traditional cookies, and more hearty quiches and soups. Swissb?kers also prepares a weekend brunch of m?seli eggs, bacon, challah Swiss toast, and fresh fruit. For larger groups, catering is available, delivering platters of Swiss-style cookies and breakfasts to offices or Y2K bunkers that ran out of food.

At Jeanne's Bakeshop, every dessert is made from scratch. This gives the bakers complete control over the treats' ingredients and flavors, and allows them to specialize in nut-free candies and baked goods. To keep allergies at bay, they buy ingredients from Vermont Nut-Free Chocolate and flip past all the spring months in the office calendar.

The bakery's selection is huge?cake options range from frosting-free bundts to novelty sculpture cakes, including sweet 16 tiaras and electric guitars. If you're planning a party, frosted cookies come in every shape to match your party theme, from baby bottles to roller skates, and the shop's elaborate cake-pop bouquets make great centerpieces. Brownies, cupcakes, and chocolate-covered strawberries round out the selection, though the pastry case's offerings change each day.

Honey Dew Donuts founder Dick Bowen didn’t expect anything special to happen one winter morning in 1978. He simply arrived at his shop in Plainville, greeted his co-baker, and waited for the day's customers. Instead, what showed up was a devastating storm, known henceforth as the Blizzard of '78. The two bakers were snowed in and had nobody to serve their signature donuts to. Making the best of an unfortunate situation, they began experimenting in the kitchen and ultimately came up with the cinnamon stick, a helix of cinnamon and fried dough that would help their business reach even greater levels of popularity.

The snow ultimately melted, and Honey Dew Donuts went on to open several additional locations throughout New England. In addition to Bowen's signature cinnamon sticks, each shop serves steamy coffee drinks, freshly baked muffins, and dozens of other donut varieties.

Cookies by Design offers all kinds of fun and tasty cookies arrangements, including baskets, cakes, trays, and their signature cookie bouquets. Cookie bouquets are superior to flower bouquets in the categories of nutrition, taste and likelihood that an inattentive cashier will allow you to spend them as coins. They're perfect for Mother's Day, Father's Day or Bad Hair Day (Bad Hair is my pet name for my secretary - I'm actually talking about Secretary's Day).

How about a Mom's Tulip Blossoms bouquet with hand-decorated sugar cookies made to look like tulip blossoms? Or the First Place Dad Basket has two hand-decorated cookies and an assortment of freshly baked cookies with chocolate chips, peanuts and/or tree nuts?! There are even cookie bouquets for graduations, wedding showers, baby showers, and cookie showers. What better gift than a cookie bouquet to celebrate your friend bringing another cookie into the world?
