The Corner Salon is home to four seasoned stylists. These artisans offer haircuts for men, women, and children and craft urbane updos for special occasions such as weddings, school dances, and visits from feudal lords. They can also colour and highlight hair or add texture with perms and relaxers.
Our team of highly skilled professional artists are dedicated to maintaining an inviting atmosphere that allows all our guests to feel welcome and valued.
Fusing a strong foundation of styling techniques with innovative fashion-forward trends, our strengths lie in building flawless looks that are easily maintained.
A talented cast of stylists, nail technicians, and aestheticians stands at the ready beside the salon chairs and treatment stations that fill Turning Heads Hair & Skin Studio’s chic and elegant space. Soft blues and greys cover nearly every wall in the airy studio, evoking a natural setting somewhat at odds with the hyper-contemporary geometries of several diamond-shaped salon mirrors. This peculiar confluence of nature and cutting-edge fashion finds its reflection in the stylists themselves, all of whom call upon advanced Paul Mitchell formulas to cut locks into styles that stay in place but look effortless.
Sitting just outside the circles of cropped hair that surround the salon chairs, nail technicians pamper hands with manicures and feet with four types of pedicures, each designed to soften skin roughened from walking around in stilettos or hopping around in sandbags. In the salon's secluded spa room, a licensed aesthetician employs hard wax to gently remove hair and treats skin concerns such as acne or aging with eight types of facials.
Each Saco Hair salon is attached to its own style academy, allowing the scissor artists on staff to keep abreast of the latest cutting and styling techniques. The staff stylists wield environmentally conscious products such as Kevin Murphy and Pureology as they revamp manes with pixie cuts and lengthy layers, and their deft hands release tension with a shiatsu head massage before each hair transformation, calming change-phobic patrons still reeling from demise of the beehive trend. While imbuing manes with vibrant new hues, the stylists employ ammonia-free colouring products from L'Oréal Professional’s INOA line to secure deep-chestnut tints and golden-blond shades.
Elan Hair & Spa splits its space between a sleek salon and a soothing spa to beautify clients from head to toe. Rows of square salon chairs support clients in front of tall chrome-framed mirrors as stylists snip and style locks into chic cuts and updos suitable for proms or weddings, or to keep hair from getting tangled in a new velcro sweater. Comprehensive texturizing services relax or straighten waves, and alternatively, perms can give straight hair more shape.
Salon patrons cross over to the spa for services such as IPL photofacials or luxurious European facials that employ Yon-Ka products. Experienced nail techs are also on hand, settling clients into cushioned wooden chairs before applying OPI polish during manicures and pedicures or applying gel nails.
Although there’s no place like home, Ida wanted something more. So she shut down her home-based business and opened Swan Esthetics & Spa inside X-Statik Hair. Using her Esthetic Institute training, she smoothes skin with body-waxing services and grooms hands and feet with luxurious mani-pedis that include cuticle care, exfoliation, warm towels, and a massage. She also draws attention to the eyes with an application of mink eyelash extensions, eyebrow threading and tinting, or by jumping up and down and pointing.
