Located across the street from Redmond Town Center, Bikram Hot Yoga Redmond is run by a devoted team of yogis. Walking past cheerful black-and-white striped awnings and into a studio with lots of light and 10-foot ceilings, students get ready to practice 26 traditional asanas on an antibacterial rubber floor. The Bikram system—known for its use of heat in excess of 100 degrees—is designed to work every major muscle and organ system while detoxifying the body and boosting flexibility. A certified instructor teaches every class, including the original 90-minute class as well as the 60-minute condensed class that helps students with packed schedules.
Choose either Sammamish's titular course for a session of deep stretching that heals and renews the body, or roast calories alive and forge adamantine endurance and strength during a power course. Both classes range from 60 to 90 minutes and are offered every day throughout the day, from six in the morning to seven in the gloaming eve. Check the schedule to pick your favorite.
While Pilates is corrective, The Bar Method is transformative—much like those cars that transform into miniature weasels. You’ll burn fat, sculpt muscles, refine your figure, and improve your strength and endurance. After a brief warm-up, you’ll tackle the upper body with weights and bar exercises. The workout continues with challenging lower-body positions and floor exercises designed to firm up your abs and glutes. This diverse and challenging workout gives you the long, lean muscles and elegant posture of a ballet dancer, all without the discomfort and inconvenience of being heckled by ballet hooligans.

Gary Olson taught martial arts, trained in meditation, and worked as a musician for much of his life, but the only discipline that allowed him to combine those passions was yoga. These mediums inform the sequences at The Ashram Yoga, which take structure from his martial-arts training, mindfulness from his meditative practices, and flow from his music career. He and a vast team of instructors lead seven styles of yoga, ranging from classic hot yoga with a Vinyasa-like sequence to the more meditative-focused yin yoga.
They also teach kids' yoga classes that introduce wee ones to postures with fun movements. They strive to boost kiddos’ self-discipline and self-esteem and help them productively cope with the stresses of school and tax season for their lemonade stands.
Bala Yoga’s collective of teachers helps students of any skill level explore and practice yoga. During power vinyasa sessions, participants tap into their physical and spiritual power with a sequence of poses designed to cleanse the body, warm muscles, and relax the mind. Along with vinyasa, restorative, and yoga basics classes, the studio also hosts teachers’ training and special events such as a 30-day detox and a kids’ yoga session.
