How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?
Our Valet Airport Parking Service is enjoyed by thousands of travelers each month. In the winter, you get off our 24-hour, seven-day-a-week shuttle to and from Boston Logan terminals (a five minute ride) to your car up front, warmed up, and snow removed. In the summer, enjoy coming back to your car up front and air conditioner on. Upon arrival to our facility, your receipt is on your dash, so no waiting; you just hop in your car and go.
What's one tip for first-time customers that will make them feel like regulars?
Upon arrival to the Valet Airport Parking lot, leave your keys in the car, and have your license plate ready for the counter to process your claim ticket for easy return. Business and leisure frequent travelers return over and over again.
What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?
People are often surprised and delighted at the optional services we can offer while they are away. We have a full detail service on site and a car wash. We offer an exterior car wash, interior detail, exterior detail, or a complete detail package and have your car looking good upon your arrival. Our bus drivers even assist with luggage.
Select Airport Valet Parking's attendants lovingly look after every vehicle in their 500-space lot while owners are away, even ensuring that cars feel comfortable when they return. To do so, they keep a copy of the owner's travel itinerary, which alerts them when it's time to run the AC in the summer or warm a car in winter and scrape off snow. They also carry passenger luggage to and from their shuttle buses, taking care of the heavy lifting. Car care services can also be performed while owners are away, with options like oil changes, car washes, carpet cleaning, and reading vehicles bed time stories.
You'll be hard pressed to find a better view of Boston Harbor than the one from the top deck of Waters Edge, a 45-foot-long luxury boat and one of several boats in Boston Green Cruises' fleet. During cruises, the vessels travel to Charlestown, the north and south edges of Boston, East Boston, and the Seaport District. Longer journeys span all the way to the Charles River's Longfellow Bridge, known to locals as the "salt-and-pepper bridge" due to the shape of its central towers and the well-seasoned waters that surround it.
Park Shuttle & Fly has been a reliable and convenient parking alternative at Logan Airport for more than 35 years. Located near the terminals with free shuttles orbiting the airport, Park Shuttle & Fly promises a quick way for visitors to leave their cars and catch a flight. Customers pull up to the window and tell the operator when they can return, drop off their car, and then catch a shuttle ride to their terminal. When they land back in Boston, they call Park Shuttle & Fly, who sends a shuttle to pick them up and reunite them with their vehicle. Meanwhile, cars are secured and safe while travelers are away, meaning they aren't in danger of being tampered with or getting into illegal craps games with their window dice.
Inside Kings, it can be hard to pinpoint the source of clattering sounds and uproarious cheers. The noise might stem from the bowling section, where glowing squares of abstract, retro wall art bookend the alleys. It might also come from ricocheting billiard balls, a well-aimed skee-ball, or a shuffleboard shot in the game room. Maybe someone spotted a celebrity—Bill Murray, Salma Hayek, and Lady Gaga are all on an extensive list of past famous visitors.
Wherever their origins, the telltale echoes of competition and camaraderie beckon to guests throughout the venue. They're accompanied in the air by the scents of comfort food, from staples such as sesame ginger wings to inventive fusions such as cheeseburger spring rolls. Sweeter aromas waft from multiple bars as the staff flavors martinis with gummy bears, pop rocks, and ice cream instead of the traditional fixings, olives or entire lemons on toothpicks.
As for sights, the surroundings blend vintage flair with luminous technology. More than 30 high-definition televisions line the space, broadcasting sports games and bowling scores. Though the game-room amenities differ slightly based on the town—Boston's Back Bay has six Brunswick Gold Crown pool tables, and Dedham boasts four miniature-roller-ball lanes—each Kings location hosts group events, including parties and corporate getaways where you can finally laugh at your boss's ridiculous shoes. Weekly themed nights for the public also encourage dancing, karaoke, and trivia.
