Temptations' accomplished founders and chefs are striving to create the first national Indian food chain in an effort to make fresh, all-natural Indian fare accessible everywhere in the country. The chefs prepare vegan and vegetarian options nightly, such as the bhindi dopiaza's tomato-smattered okra, and clay ovens churn out grilled dishes, such as murg tikka masala or tandoori chicken. Temptations also fills environmentally friendly boxes with portions of its food on college campuses, and the chefs spread their knowledge of Indian cuisine in cooking classes.
Sunlight streaks through large windows in Temptations' dining room as diners scarf down healthy Indian feasts beneath exposed-ductwork ceilings and soft orange lights. Live music fills the air on weekend nights, with sitars, world music, and kazoo symphonies typifying the sounds. Belly dancers have been known to take to the floors as well, captivating patrons with their hypnotizing hip undulations.
Tan Pro USA has been compensating for the less-than-ideal latitudinal coordinates of Ohio since 1998. It was then that they opened their first tanning outpost furnished with 30 UV beds, and they have since expanded operations to 43 stores throughout the state. They stock each location with ample tanning units, rendering appointments an archaic formality equivalent to gifting a sheep to your defense lawyer. After customers stroll in, they can slide into an Ergoline 1100, which boasts four ultra-performance facial tanners and two high-pressure shoulder tanners. Staffers advise which lotions enhance traditional tanning results along with explaining the benefits of the UV-free VersaSpa spray-tan booths. Harnessing infrared heat, VersaSpa booths impart a glow to entire physiques or targeted trouble areas, such as the inside of the armpits.
Blue Ginger’s chefs have no shortage of sources when they need inspiration for their next dish. Rather than limit their scope to a single region or country, they scan recipe books from across Asia and pick out their favorites as starting points. Some of the recipes they dig up date back centuries, but they’re more interested in looking toward the future than dwelling on the past.
It’s certainly a bright future they envision—one in which the best elements of various Asian cuisines have joined forces in the same dishes. There are even some influences from outside Asia that make it into the mix, as the duck fajitas and pan-roasted chilean sea bass will attest. This inclusive spirit isn’t just limited to the food. An extensive drink menu features imported beers, martinis blended with sake, and cocktails stirred with miniature world flags.
Since 1988, Pet Supplies Plus has welcomed millions of furry critters of every stripe—from llamas and monkeys to potbellied pigs—into their animal-friendly stores. The shop is designed so that both pets and their owners can easily navigate the inventory of more than 10,000 items. Wide aisles give leashed pups enough room to roam, colorful signage keeps shoppers moving in the right direction, and low shelves allow dogs to sniff out their preferred brand of rawhide chew. A self-serve dog wash enables guests to scrub their canine companions' coats to a youthful, puppy-like shine, whereas grooming services enlist professionals to tackle tougher jobs, such as brushing out matted fur or convincing dalmatians to stop mixing white and black after Labor Day.

For more than 35 years, dentists at American Dental Centers have polished pearly whites and prevented dental disease with thorough exams. At each of the 14 locations that dot Northern and Central Ohio, patients walk in or schedule appointments so they don’t have to scrape off plaque using chew toys. The center maintains a 24-hour phone line so that patients can arrange to have emergencies treated as soon as possible, and it also offers a Forever White program, in which patients pay a one-time fee and then receive take-home bleaching treatments for as long as they attend their regular three- or six-month check-ups.
