Jeremy D. Jackson holds three distinct certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, from personal trainer to corrective exercise specialist. He understands not only how to build muscle and burn fat, but how the musculature and skeleton should work in concert to keep the body healthy. He puts this knowledge—honed over eight years in the fitness industry—to work in The GetFit Nation's outdoor boot camps held at locations all across Dallas.
Jeremy and his trainers alter their prescribed regimen daily, increasing the rate of calorie consumption and muscle growth by refusing to let their clients' bodies adapt to repetitive motions. Though comprised of an every-changing array of exercises, each complete regimen builds the body's abilities for functional movement, strength, and power.

The coaches at Sirius Training know the workout is only part of the equation; that's why they heap helpings of inspiration and upbeat attitudes to each of their daily sessions. Besides keeping everyone motivated, they also want to keep students engaged, so they change up workouts daily to prevent muscles from plateauing. Keeping the system accessible to all fitness levels is key, too. Fortunately, the training program is easily scalable, allowing coaches to customize for each individual. While they offer personalized attention in all small-group classes, they also accommodate students with private coaching that zeroes in on specific areas such as mobility because of injury.
It's probably a good idea to stay on Lex Ronin's good side. The trainer, bodybuilding coach, and marathoner is also a hand-to-hand combat instructor, krav maga instructor, and certified Texas Tactical SWAT medic with a six-year Army career behind him. Lex is a meditation, pranayama (yoga breathing), and gentle-yoga instructor, too?all the more reason to remain in his good graces. Exercisers looking for guidance can find it at Ronin Fitness, where Lex offers personal-training sessions, group classes, beginners' marathon training, and nutritional counseling.
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We form a unique bond between instructor, members, and their children. Clients feel like they are part of a big sweaty family. If you miss a class, your instructor or peers will ask you why. Involving the children in our classes keeps them entertained and becomes a part of their daily routine.
What's the most radical physical transformation you've seen a client make?
We recently did an eight-week challenge and one of the members lost 12% body fat and 8% average inches.
When and how did you first develop a passion for fitness?
It started when I first attended Baby Boot Camp when my first child (now 4.5) was only 8 weeks old. I felt challenged, inspired by the other members, and like a new person. I started attending classes five–six days a week and quickly lost all my baby weight and gained friends. I decided after five months that I wanted to share my experiences with other moms and trained to become an instructor. Four years later, I love Baby Boot Camp just as much as when I first started, and feel passionate about helping other moms develop a love of fitness, too.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
This program is unique to other fitness programs because of the group dynamic we create. The members become friends and turn to one another for parenting advise and support. We also host play dates, Mom's Night Out events, and family events to bring the members together outside of the workout.
