USKO—which stands for United States Karate Organization—teaches its students self-defense techniques from around the world, including judo, kung fu, tae kwon do, karate, and juitsu. Children’s programs focus on building gross motor skills, discipline, and self-esteem, whereas adult programs help students improve their stamina and concentration levels. Additionally, instructors work with students one-on-one during personal-training sessions and teach kickboxing and boot-camp classes.
