What sets your business apart from your competition?
P.Y.O.P. prides itself on creating a service-driven, inspiring, and comfortable environment for each customer by providing a ceramic studio experience as unique as our clients. We never sit customers at group tables. We provide as much or as little assistance as requested. We also offer a variety of beverages and snacks.
What was the inspiration for starting this business?
I envisioned a studio where everyone knows your name. Where there is good music, yummy food, and a comfortable atmosphere. If I wasn't in the mood for a crowd, or wanted to go home and watch a movie, I wanted a studio where I could take the pottery to go. That's why I incorporated In-Studio-Painting and Pottery-On-The-Go into P.Y.O.P.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a customer?
The best reaction I've gotten from a customer is that they love the environment at P.Y.O.P. Any studio can have amazing ceramics, top-of-the-line brushes, and an amazing glaze selection. But if the environment isn't warm and welcoming, customers won't come back. I worked hard to create just the right environment, so that particular reaction meant a lot.
What?s your favorite part about your job?
I love walking into work every morning and literally seeing my vision come to life. Explaining a vision is something I'm not very good at. I kept saying "no" to suggestions during the build-out process, but couldn't accurately explain why. When P.Y.O.P. was complete, everyone who contributed to the process sat back and said, "Oh, I get it now." Sharing P.Y.O.P. with others is the best thing about my job.

Make each day a creative one.
Sisters Linda O?Brien and Carolyn Weight grew up watching their mother make quilts and playing imaginative games under her quilting frames. It's no surprise then, that as adults, they took up quilting themselves and their love for it has only grown over the years. Eventually they opened their own quilting shop, opening their doors to the community in 2010. Together, they stock their shop with popular fabrics and supplies and teach new quilters of all levels some of the tips they've picked up over the years with a variety of classes.
Brides often sport glittering jewelry and elegant up-dos as they walk down the aisle, but most would agree that a radiant smile is the best wedding accessory. The wedding planners at Auri Bridal bring out brides' most radiant smiles by providing as much, or as little, wedding guidance as they desire. They work to ensure that all the details are just right, from memorable table decor to themed bridesmaid dresses. Customers can also buy or rent gowns in styles that range from modest and traditional to chic and strapless.
