Kim Williams’s photography career sprang from necessity. As the former owner of a children’s event-planning company, Kim was charged with snapping shots of her tiny clientele, capturing candid smiles, gleeful laughter, and surreptitious paste eating. As her love affair with the camera blossomed, she found herself investing time and money into more advanced equipment and eventually opened The Village Paparazzi.

Whether on-location or in-studio, Kim is easy on direction, especially with children, letting her subjects express themselves however they wish while she documents the moment. Kim’s easygoing personality and expert manipulation of natural light yield a portfolio filled with natural-looking shots of kids, families, and couples.

At a young age, Brian Weitzel began capturing images with his dad’s 35 mm camera, spending his weekly allowance on developing his negatives. Today, he's a professional photographer who specializes in weddings. He has traveled the world for shoots and published his work in the Wall Street Journal. While working with clients, Weitzel obeys the golden rule—he strives to be the type of photographer he would hire. He photographs his subjects and events thoroughly, and boasts swift turnaround from shoots to finished prints. In addition, amateur photographers can benefit from his savvy during personal photography classes, which can teach DSLR or point-and-shoot camera techniques in a hands-on environment, rather than one in which students must carry their cameras with salad tongs.

After working for 24 years at what he calls a "real" job, Bob DiTommaso left the office environment to pursue his passion: photography. It wasn't an easy switch—his career move required long hours and lots of hard work—but Bob says he wouldn't change a thing. The effort paid off in the end, when he opened his own studio, Robert DiTommaso Photography.

Bob works mainly in family and children's photography, but his interests run the gamut from portraits to landscape and sports photography. Regardless of subject, the seasoned shutterbug brings a keen eye for capturing the ineffable in each and every shoot. And he prints his images in-house on a wide-format professional ink-jet printer.

When he's not taking great photos, Bob is teaching others to do so during photography workshops that take place in-studio or on-location. He even leads photography safaris, multi-day trips that trek through national parks and other breathtaking locales in search of the perfect shot of Bigfoot buying deodorant.

Though Cara Erskine had a passion for photography from childhood, she didn’t truly refine her skills until she lived in Shanghai, where she photographed newly adopted children and their families with the Baobei Foundation. Capturing such powerful emotions and unbridled joy on film overseas eventually convinced her to open up her own studio in the U.S.

Today, Cara still takes photographs of babies and families, but her specialty is taking portraits that make women of all ages and body types feel beautiful during glamour or boudoir photo shoots. She also captures the carefree vigor of youth in senior photos before the stresses of paying tuition, studying for exams, and crossing the street without holding a grownup's hand.

The "Baby I'm a Star" mini-package makes a sexy, sensational gift for a partner, capturing tasteful, alluring images in a playful, no-nudity way. Michael Sackett personally conducts each session, and will shoot clients in a variety of tasteful postures and poses during the 45-minute session. Clients are allowed two outfit changes during the session—if you opt for the studio setting, don't forget to bring along your most enticing, enthralling, and least pant-suity attire. After the pinup freeze framing, clients will receive a disc with five high-res, fully edited, retouched, and copyright-released images of their choice, as well as two 8x10 prints from the edited files.

Heather Zara never misses an opportunity to tell a story. Before starting Zara Creative, Heather worked as a TV reporter for Detroit's local NBC affiliate and a featured reporter on Fox Sports Detroit's The Pistons Weekly.

The video chronicler combines her expertise at Zara Creative, which creates cinema-like digital films from commercials to full-length movies, including music videos and short features for charity events that are often attended by pro athletes or amateur basket-weavers. But Heather's best stories might just come from weddings. For these life-changing events, she shoots and assembles footage into trailers, highlight reels, and full-length films. She can even create outtake reels to highlight whimsical moments or review footage to determine who exactly caught the bouquet really.
