The 600-degree wood-burning oven at Napa Wood Fired Pizzeria delicately toasts pizzas and wrapinis supported by a full list of wines. A list of 29 thin-crust 12-inch pizzas raises edicts against hunger—such as the Toscana, covered in spicy chicken sausage, roasted mushrooms, olives, and oregano ($13), or the Medusa, whose basil pesto, figs, pineapple, and goat cheese petrify taste buds ($12) . A cadre of wines from California and Italy accompany meals, with reds including Cellar No. 8's pinot noir ($7.50 / glass), and whites including Beringer's white zinfandel ($7 / glass). The wood-fired oven also toasts meats and cheeses sealed within a wrapped pizza crust to create wrapinis ($8+), while fresh salads escape the heat in forms such as the baby-spinach salad, a gently rolling hill of spinach, mandarin oranges, onions, olives, and crumbled goat cheese ($8.50), garnished with the joyful laughs of infants.

When the instructors at MGOS Academy of Irish Dance—certified by the Ireland’s An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha to teach Irish dance—wanted to branch out, they created Ashford Ballet Company. Today, the two studios partner up to cover a diversity of dance styles to children, with Ashford Ballet Company’s New York State–certified staff tutoring tykes in the intricate steps of ballet, tap, and jazz.

The family-friendly studio makes the kid-centric space amicable for parents—who can sit in and watch their children's classes or cheer silently from behind the observation window—as a way to put kids at ease. When designing the curriculum, co-director Caitlyn Redmond and her fellow instructors swapped tales about their own childhood dance experiences (both good and bad), and from those stories settled on a philosophy based on nurturing individual progress, rather than adhering to a strict curriculum. "When you have a cookie-cutter approach to teaching dance, some kids don't fit the mold," she said. But at Ashford Ballet Company, "they all have a place to dance and feel included."

That includes the kids in her Movement for Dancers with Special Needs classes, which Caitlyn, who is also a special education teacher, began teaching to combine her two passions. "It increases their level of self-confidence. It gives them an opportunity to express themselves in a different way," she said.

She believes all their dancers—who range from toddlers to teenagers—reap those same benefits as they work together in a non-competitive atmosphere. At the end of the year, students perform in a one-hour recital designed to highlight each student's growth and show off their skills with plenty of solos, offering a departure from traditional dance studios' four-hour Macarena marathons.

Patrons within Brickwood Grill's exposed-brick-and-wood interior munch the menu’s eight specialty burgers in the glow of 20 televisions and a trio of arcade games. Bite into morning meals after dark with a breakfast burger ($8.49) topped with ham and eggs, or chomp down on the A-1 mushroom swiss burger ($7.99), whose mushroom toppings swim in a sea of A-1 steak sauce and melted slices of the ocean's one true fruit, swiss cheese. Chefs construct many entries on a recently revamped selection of 13 sandwiches made from locally sourced ingredients, yielding munchworthy dishes such as the Red Osier panini ($8.99), which stuffs Red Osier roast beef between fresh french bread alongside ladles of au jus. A selection of health-conscious soups and salads also is available. After a meal, sidle up to a long, fully-stocked bar where a trio of TVs broadcasting the latest game draws barflies like moths to a wrestling match between flashlights.

Using all-natural gels and fully customized tooth trays, Pro Smile Teeth Whitening brings professional-caliber dental treatments to homes across the country. After molding the kit to their own teeth?a process that takes just over a minute?customers fill the tray with gel and start their smile-brightening journey. Enhanced with an optional LED treatment, the whole procedure takes about 30 to 60 minutes a day for 7 to 14 days, and results last up to six months with regular brushing. The trays retain their shape permanently, so unless customers lose them or sprout a set of tusks, they can repeat the whitening process as often as necessary by ordering gel refills.

There's a lot to like about Legends Sports Bar & Grille, such as the nine 50-inch TV screens, the weekly lunch buffet, and the extensive array of draft beers. But to a dedicated local sports fan, there's one thing that matters even more: Legends is an official bar of the Buffalo Sabres, a fact that gets fans hip-checking each other with excitement come hockey season. Though it's located inside the Radisson Hotel, Legends feels a lot more like it's in the middle of First Niagara Center when the puck drops and cheers emanate throughout the expansive dining room. These cheers continue during intermission, though they're directed toward a menu that features pizzas, fried calamari, and other updated sports-bar staples.
