Treating the cosmetic blemishes that can appear on aging skin requires a forward-looking approach. Overseen by Drs. Hratch Karamanoukian and Raffy Karamanoukian, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa keeps pace with the passage of time by constantly seeking out new advancements in technology, skincare products, and cosmetic procedures.
The center?s cache of technology includes cosmetic laser systems that work to improve skin tone and texture by addressing fine lines, acne scars, and scratch-and-sniff tattoos. Beyond light, these and other systems can also use sound waves or radio frequencies to firm and lift faces. Even the more traditional spa procedures at the clinic pamper clients with medical-grade products and equipment. The crystal-free microdermabrasion system uses a diamond-encrusted titanium wand to smooth away impurities, and facials with botanically derived balms and vitamin C rejuvenate complexions.
With a steady hand and special adhesive, Janina breathes new life into clients? eyelashes. She applies special flare eyelash extensions to existing lashes, bulking up the eyeline for everyday wear or for special occasions. The extensions stay in place for up to two weeks, and refill appointments can lengthen the lifespan.
The trained technicians at Absolute Beauty revitalize facescapes with artfully applied facial procedures utilizing sophisticated technologies. Microcurrent facials fight off fine lines with safe electrical impulses, tapping out orders to muscles in Morse code to firm up and increase the production of collagen, temporarily tightening the face after one treatment and building muscle memory after several more. Ultrasound facials shiver off dead cells with an exfoliating high-tech hum, ultimately opening up skin for rejuvenating hydration and moisturizing. In addition to treating faces to space-age pampering, Absolute Beauty supplements epidermal diets with vitamin C enzyme applications in every treatment.
The Refuge's resident rejuvenator, Stephanie can cleanse and massage weary flesh-emoticons with thorough skin-polishing facials. For a treatment tailored to your skincare desires, the Refuge Signature Facial ($70) combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, possible extractions, and a stress-melting neck and shoulder massage. The Clear Complexion treatment ($75) delivers a one-two punch of deep enzymatic action and fruit acids topped with a snazzy anti-bacterial mask, transforming your face into a polished mirror that causes beautiful headaches if you try to look at it in a real mirror. Even dudes can look less like island castaways with the dapper-making GQ Men's Facial ($60), which double-cleanses, exfoliates, extracts (if needed), massages, and moisturizes sir-skin. In the process, evict dead, unwanted skin from your pores' apartment complex by adding a microdermabrasion ($25) to any facial.

Why did you decide to start this business?
Although Physical Connections only recently celebrated its grand opening, fitness, massage and nutrition have always been a big part of my life. I owned a mobile fitness business for 10 years, and I have contributed to the health and wellness industry since 1988. After battling cancer for five years, I personally identify with the importance of staying healthy and being fit for longevity. I bring life experience as well as education to my business.
Do you use any products or brands you're particularly proud of? What makes them uniquely effective?
For massage clients, I use Biotone massage lotion, and I apply warm, steamed towels to remove any excess lotion. Yoga classes have access to prop blocks for assisting in movements. I customize Meal plans as well as personal training sessions.
