As the reigning Midwest Collegiate League champions, the CrackerJacks pour onto the diamond at Brennan Field set to defend their title while showcasing some of the country's top collegiate ballplayers. A year ago—during the inaugural season for both the team and the league—the CrackerJacks established themselves as a spring of talent, sending nine recruits to the league's first-ever all-star game. During 23 home games this season, including five Sunday matchups, fans can scout the club's refreshed roster of up-and-comers, who will remain with the 'Jacks until they head back to their university programs or until they grow too big to fit into Brennan Field's dugouts.

In support of her high-decibel new album, Rihanna kicks off her hotly anticipated LOUD tour with emphatic gusto and a sizzling roster of special guests. Like an art show at a sundae bar, the LOUD tour floods the senses, enchanting audiences with lavishly designed sets, myriad costume changes, move-busting dancers, and Rihanna's songbook of Grammy magnets. Crooner Cee Lo Green augments the songful offerings with his own vocal talents, and Roc Nation rapper and rhythm scientist J. Cole further helps resuscitate ear drums traumatized by the outside world's blaring car horns and shrill howler monkeys.

The Big East’s final four teams scorch the nets at Red Bull Arena, dribbling and kicking their way to the conference’s automatic bid for the NCAA Division I men’s soccer championship. After racking up glory and grass stains in a single-elimination tournament played at campus fields, the remaining contenders square off in three games that promise more hands-free excitement than bobbing for apples in a shark tank. Louisville exudes confidence after winning 2010’s championship, but top seeds Marquette and USF wear their "favorite" status like stylish shin guards as they look to etch their names into the tournament’s annals. Meanwhile, Rutgers and West Virginia strike terror into the stitch-paneled hearts of opposing goalies as they try to convert their tournament berths into championship success.

Featuring 85 sessions in English and Spanish put on by more than 75 presenters and entertainers, including Radio Disney performers, author Heidi Murkoff, and nationally recognized pediatricians such as Dr. Joseph Wright, Healthy Children Conference + Expo entertains every member of the family. More than that, though, the organizers work to educate families about kids' health. The two-day expo, produced by the American Academy of Pediatrics, features a truly diverse array of presentations focused on newborn care, bullying, fitness, and breastfeeding and parenting to allergies. When the panels and educational sessions conclude, visitors can then head to interactive pavilions and ample vendor booths to learn more about keeping kids healthy or to pick up fitness tips from Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel.

Defending the Caveman, the longest-running one-man comedy in Broadway history, treats the recently rechristened Akoo Theatre at Rosemont to one special evening of insightful and gut-busting social anthropology. A worldwide hit since the script was unfrozen in 1991, funnyman Rob Becker’s perceptive dissection of the battle of the sexes has charmed millions of theatergoers while uniting dozens of estranged paleontologists. Skewering the hubris of machismo and machisma, the populist play sweetly chides both genders with side-splitting anecdotes and relatable scenarios that hit home like an overzealous paperboy. Extracting laughs from singles and the betrothed, Defending the Caveman works both as a rousing comedy and as couples therapy.
