Sleepy's is the American dream. It all started when Louis Acker landed on Ellis Island in the late 1920s. In 1931, he opened a mattress store in Brooklyn, where he and his son, Harry, tied knots and stitched mattresses by hand. After Louis passed away, Harry carried on the family business, eventually transforming it into Sleepy's, whose first store opened in 1957. There, he
built the company's foundation upon quality products and an expert staff of Mattress Professionals.
Today, those Mattress Professionals share their wisdom at more than 1,000 showrooms across the United States, helping people figure out which sleep system is best for their body and wallet. The modern-day version of Sleepy's has grown into customers' source for the industry's top brands, including Simmons, Serta, Sealy, and Tempur-Pedic. Sleepy's also carries a wide range of other specialty sleep products, from pillows and mattress pads to sheets, blankets, and headboards.
Sears Portrait Studio's original photographers committed their first family photos to film more than 60 years ago, and the studio's digital photographers continue the tradition of taking high-quality portraits at more than 1,000 U.S. locations open today. Their all-digital system lets customers access their photographs online, where they can add graphics before ordering prints for collages, greeting cards, mugs, and broken-mug collages.

Founded more than 30 years ago by Gail Kelce, Kelce and Company has grown from a one-woman business to a 35-person-strong staff dedicated to rendering outstanding residential and commercial cleaning services. During carpet-refreshing sessions, teams of insured cleaners operate a powerful truck-mounted steam-cleaning system to abrogate dirt and stains. Area rug cleaning is another coefficient in the business’s service equation, and it includes both pickup and drop off. Elsewhere, the company’s spectrum spans from the large-scale whole-house cleaning to the inconceivably small-scale scrub-downs of subatomic particles. On top of traditional domicile work, Kelce and Company also specializes in a range of restoration services, from vandalism removal to emergency water, fire, and flood cleanup.
The retail nursery at Tyler’s Landscaping houses a cornucopia of plant life for purchase and plantation. Yards in search of nonsurgical face-lifts can re-create themselves with choice picks from the nursery’s selection of more than 200 perennial varieties ($3.99–$14.99), grasses, and native plants. Perky annuals ($3.99) add polka dots of color to squirrel habitats, and shrubs (average price $30.99) hide shy foundations and delineate property lines better than police tape. Tyler's staff of nursery professionals can recite each plant’s preferences for light and water, helping gardeners make love matches between flora and soil.
