The The Dive Shop's instructors, drawing from Scuba Schools International's programs, teach water-safety skills to fledgling divers and swimmers of all ages. Classes and activities range from the Scuba Rangers club?where kids aged 8?12 learn to snorkel and scuba dive from the safety of a pool?to open-water dives, swimming lessons, and more advanced stress-and-rescue dive sessions, during which instructors turn dog paddlers into almost-mermaids, minus the pet octopuses.
When he isn’t exploring underwater or volunteering at the Georgia Aquarium, Jacob Moore, founder and owner of Living Water Conservation and Scuba Inc. and The Order of Atlantis, shares his scuba knowledge with students during classes. A NAUI-certified scuba instructor, Jacob leads courses that range from skin-diver and scuba certification to advanced scuba-diving and instructor courses. He also leads expeditions during which students and instructors alike can use their skills to explore reefs, caves, and wildlife at destinations such as Ginnie Springs, Panama City, and Ponce de Leon, Florida.
At Dive Educators, the team of certified instructors works to uphold the center's SSI Diamond status. That means everything from helping newcomers get their feet wet in the heated waters of the center's 25' x 50' pool to teaching more seasoned divers advanced skills such as technical diving in the pool's 20' x 25' x 10' dive well. To supplement the in-water curriculum, the instructors have two classrooms where students can complete coursework and test the waterproofness of a Power Point presentation.

Dolphin Dive Center owner and master diver Tim Bridgham has a philosophy a lot of people can relate to: we spend much of our lives standing on our feet, sitting on our butts in chairs, or sleeping?so getting in the water can be a blissful alternative. As a full-service dive center, Dolphin Dive is a place where students and seasoned divers can get all their gear, as well as the knowledge to put it to good use. Beginners can splash into the heated, indoor pool to get the hang of breathing underwater during the try scuba course, while more seasoned divers and mermen in disguise can take the advanced open water class.
Jim Quick is an outdoor jack-of-all-trades. The former Marine has not only taught scuba for the past two decades, he is also a wilderness first responder, and holds certifications from an alphabet of organizations including SSI, NAUI, and the YMCA. Take one of his classes with Quick's Diving Services to learn how to snorkel in a shallow reef or dive deep under the waves to uncover oceanic treasures. He and his team of upbeat instructors also train students in scuba rescue and first aid through comprehensive courses that can turn even the newest beginner into a divemaster, given enough time and effort. When they aren't teaching courses, the instructors also run trips to the gulf shores, Philadelphia Quarry, and Morrison Springs.
