Don't be fooled by the name. Allen Bowl is really three destinations in one: bowling alley, arcade, and restaurant. Here's a quick look at each part.

Bowling Alley

  • Eight sets of identical triplets could bowl simultaneously across the alley's 24 lanes.
  • Bowlers as young as 3 can sign up for a youth league; adults have leagues as well.
  • Pins and shoes all glow under black lights during Glow Bowling.

####Arcade * Five pool tables operate via quarters. * The arcade games are kid-friendly; no adult themes or references to Santa being fake. * Tied in bowling? Settle it with a round of air hockey or basketball.

####Kegler's Grill & Bar * If you're extra hungry, order the #3: three chicken strips, french fries, toast, gravy, and a drink. * Larger groups can share a 16-inch supreme pizza. * Bartenders mix margaritas and pour domestic beers from the tap. * The [menu](http://gr.pn/1gfoWtr) even has a section for breakfast.

Bowling isn’t just a hobby at 300 New York—it’s a vibrant social experience worthy of luxurious flourishes. That’s why cushioned lounge seats flank each of the 32 mood-lit lanes in the main concourse area. Each of these lanes faces a large screen that flashes music videos and tutorials on how to remove stuck fingers from bowling balls. Up in The Loft, bowlers can lounge and take in views of the concourse while sipping cocktails from the full-service bar. A dedicated wait staff connects them to offerings from the onsite bar and restaurant—an eatery known for serving dishes from executive chef Chad Bowser’s menu. Some of Chad’s creations include two-bite chicken or beef sliders and hand-battered fried calamari that can be paired with anything from beer to specialty martinis.

Strikz Entertainment features everything groups need to entertain themselves, keeping the party alive until midnight or later with bowling, billiards, complete food menu, arcade games, and a full bar. The center boasts 20 standard bowling lanes with computerized scoring and automatic bumpers along with meeting space for large group events. Twelve more lanes wait in the Rose Room, a boutique bowling lounge with a 23-foot projection screen, high-definition televisions, and cozy couches for people to sit in between frames. Upbeat music in the laser-tag arena gets pulses racing while casual gladiators prowl throughout the area's fog-filled corridors and blacklit wine cellars. A hundred games fill the arcade area, inviting guests to rest for a bit and test their reflexes with a round of skee-ball or Pac-Man.

In between matches, Strikz Entertainment refuels patrons with hearty servings of hamburgers, finger foods, and cocktails. Servers also drift throughout the space, providing lane-side service to guests and encouraging them to purchase United States savings bonds.

There are bowling alleys, and there are bowling super highways. With 600 pins creating a satisfying, nearly constant thunder, Forum Bowling Lanes could be considered the latter. Since 1974 the Grand Prairie institution has welcomed strike-seeking families and competitors to its 60 lanes, and although it recently underwent a remodel, it retains its vintage feel. Classic bowling is the name of the game here, with a straightforward style that allows players to focus on the frames. And after the final throw, they can relax with a drink in Forum?s cafe and lounge or head to the pro shop to pick up essential bowling gear such as balls and air horns for distracting opponents.
