Core Fight Academy’s decorated coach Blas Carrasco and his staff blast bodies of all fitness levels with intense strength training and toning workouts employing combat-sport conditioning methods. The 45-minute, outdoor Fighting Fit Boot Camp burns through exercises from cardio-boosting kick-boxing to muscle-carving lifts using cast-iron kettlebells, keeping muscles guessing and brains hoping to tone their cerebral gyros. The boot camp amps up on June 13 with a schedule of classes offered Monday through Thursday as well Saturday; trainees are welcome to attend any number of sessions each week.
S.W.E.A.T.S. stands for Strength With Exercise Attitude Training Survival, which sums up its fitness instructors’ chief aim. They know that working out is in vain without a complementary attitude adjustment, no matter which of the fitness regimes at S.W.E.A.T.S. a client chooses. But once pupils do manage to recalibrate their outlook on exercise, personal training, cardio and strength classes, and boot camp can get to work burning fat.
Professional athletes. Stay-at-home moms. Corporate executives. CrossFit Forth Worth caters to all kinds of people, and sometimes the only common bond between students is their desire to achieve functional fitness. Daily workouts combine elements of weight lifting, gymnastics, and endurance training to keep bodies guessing at all times and thus maximize results. Rather than perform isolated lifts or stretches, students use several muscles at once to pull weights, throw tires, and form human quadrangles. CrossFit Fort Worth's certified and experienced instructors lead group classes at locations in Haltom City and Bedford.
"Mind, heart, soul, and spirit"—this is the translation of maum from Korean, and also the core words of what takes place at Maum Meditation. Founded by Woo Myung in 1996 in South Korea, there are more than 330 centers across six continents where people meditate in group settings. During sessions, practitioners use Maum techniques to eliminate anxiety and stress. Once cleared of this, which Maum meditators believe effect thoughts and emotions, the meditators seek happiness and freedom.
