Norwest Stylists has deep roots in downtown St. Paul. It was founded as a barber shop more than two decades ago, and expanded over the years to incorporate cosmetologists and nail technicians. Several of the current stylists have worked there from the start.
At his elegant downtown studio, stylist Scott Miller will customize the client's wants by performing precision haircuts, coloring services, eyebrow sculpting, facials, and professional makeup applications. In addition to working on scheduled clients, he puts his talents to use hosting beauty soirees and bridal parties.
The stylists at La Rive Salon consult with customers to learn their envisioned hairstyles before lifting a pair of shears. The staff then rely on high-quality products from Moroccanoil, Kenra, and TRI to soothe, tame, and style locks. Their specialties also include hair coloring, make-up, waxing, organic facials, and massage.
Author and Juut SalonSpa owner David Wagner channels a childhood spent watching nature’s beauty into his Aveda salon’s eight locations. The studio stylists and other staff members, many of whom benefit from the company’s extensive training program, perform services beneath shelves laden with Aveda products. The botanically sourced elixirs repair and sculpt hair naturally without subjecting it to other products’ unpleasant chemicals or a robot hairdresser’s endless questions about love.
Stylist and life-long Twin Cities resident Stephanie Perez honed her skills at the Scot Lewis Paul Mitchell Partner School before setting up shop at The Chair on Fire. Now with eight years of experience, she expertly transforms tresses with cuts, color, or Keratin Complex treatments. Stephanie also directs her attention below the hairline with waxing services, and keeps nails gleaming with bright coats of OPI and CND polish.
Primo Salon & Spa's owner, Kim, is a skin and body care expert and specializes in services like body wraps, body scrubs, and facials. Ongoing education in her field has allowed her to stay at the cutting edge of her profession, and so she encourages each of her employees to attend regular classes in their field. As a result, her team includes a platform artist for Wella, a former educator for Revlon, and a wig specialist with experience fitting custom hairpieces for cancer patients. Together, the team can tend to nearly any aesthetic need, whether it's a new haircut, a mani-pedi, a professional makeup application, or a spray tan?the latter of which is applied via airbrush, as opposed to other salons that simply send clients to a tanning dunk tank.
