In September of 2009, Get U Moving Fitness's founder, Yokasta, got herself moving after gradually gaining weight for a handful of years. She started running and taking Turbo Kick classes, which combine kickboxing and dance moves. Yokasta became so hooked on her new lifestyle, she decided to share that experience with others and opened Get U Moving Fitness. Along with teaching her favorite class, Turbo Kick, Yokasta and her husband also help runners plot training plans for 5Ks, marathons, and sprints to beat their spouse to the remote control.

When Alive magazine publisher Elizabeth Tucker first thought about LASIK surgery as an alternative to the glasses she had worn since second grade, she didn't think it was an option. She feared the cost, worried about the time off work, and was unsure about how safe the procedure would be. Luckily, numerous friends told her about the transformative effects of their own procedures, and she finally decided to take the plunge at Crown Laser Center. There, a team of seven board-certified ophthalmologists, optometrists, and surgeons put Elizabeth and other clients at ease as they correct corneas with trained hands and cutting-edge equipment, boasting a 99% surgery-success rate. Elizabeth is now glasses-free and doesn't regret a thing. "It's been life-changing for me," she says in a video on the laser center's website, "I would recommend it to anyone."
The fit-focused instructors at Boot Camp Challenge mold feeble flesh into paragons of power with a barrage of training techniques. The program's 60-minute classes tone and tighten physiques of all ages and types, from collegiate fitness friends to steel-gripping grandmothers, and a group structure provides support, camaraderie, and an opportunity to seek constructive feedback on your shirt-tearing muscle flexes. Each session focuses on cardio and strength training, including functional exercises, circuit training, plyometrics, and core conditioning. Boot Camp Challenge varies the routine of every workout, keeping regimens fresh and interesting while eschewing monotonous techniques such as counting barbell reps with an abacus. Pre- and post-training assessments will tally how many cowardly pounds fled freshly toughened surfaces, and nutritional guidance keeps tabs on what fuels are used to energize newly supercharged muscle machines.
CF2 Premium Crossfit leaves behind the treadmills and weight machines, instead opting for workouts blanketed with powerlifting, gymnastics, and functional movements. During custom workouts, guests can swing a kettlebell, flip a giant tire, or spin an airplane wing on one finger. The coaches oversee each group of CrossFitters at the new facility.
