The studio's flexible schedule of sessions inspires yogis to sculpt cores and hone flexibility seven days a week. Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Our fitness classes are fun and enjoyable. With laughter fitness, the laughter reconditions your brain to enjoy movement. You won't even know you are working out while you are doing it. With rebounding, the moves are so gentle on your body, it feels like play?until the next day.
What is the biggest mistake you see people make when trying to get fit on their own?
They don't know what to eat and how to stay motivated. Our fitness instructors are also Certified Health & Nutrition Coaches and help clients find all the pieces to the health puzzle.
Has your business won any awards?
We have been featured on "Good Things Utah," and the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, and will soon be on Cooking with Chef Bryan.
The teachers at Salt Lake Power Yoga are very intentional with every cue, demonstration, and adjustment they give. Their purposeful leadership creates an environment where transformation is possible—an environment where students can discover their fullest potential, both athletically and personally, without fear or inhibition.
In keeping with the teachings of Baron Baptiste, teachers guide students through a sequence of poses in 11 phases. They build internal heat through poses that ramp up circulation, and buoy this with the external heat of a 85- to 95-degree studio and fire-breathing dragon. The heightened temperature increases agility and detoxification, allowing students to move fluidly and purify their bodies. Although classes are rigorous, they're nonetheless suited for students of all ages and ability levels.
Jazzercise is 60 minutes of cardio, strength training, and stretching that incorporates moves from hip-hop, yoga, Pilates, jazz dance, kickboxing, and resistance training with handheld weights. Dancing With the Stars multiple-champion Cheryl Burke is a big fan of Jazzercise's improvisational workouts, though luckily you won't need her dance moves to get the most out of your class. If you're prone to first-class jitters, though, you can review the basic moves online before you go. Expect to burn off up to 500 calories with each go-round.
