Little Dogs Resort is designed to cater to mostly toy breed dogs. While some dogs can be under 30lbs., their temperament and needs are sometimes more athletic than our general doggie population is comfortable with. If your dog falls into this group, please call to schedule an interview so we can keep everyone safe. :)
At Dogs R Us, pups lap up first-class care from award-winning trainers and a knowledgeable, keen-eyed staff. Four-pawed guests come and go as they please between a climate-controlled indoor play area and a spacious outdoor yard, where they can bound through swimming pools or take a breather under the canopy.
The facility's full-service grooming shop keeps bow-wows looking fresh, and an onsite pet store stocks its shelves with all the necessary supplies for keeping pets happy and healthy. Tail-wagging worthy luxuries continue into the evening with overnight stays, which take place in bedrooms large enough for pooches to fit all their belongings, such as toys, beds, and life-size cardboard cutouts of their owners.
Dr. Kirsten Doub takes her work home all the time. The veterinarian truly loves pets, adopting older animals, working with rescue groups, and often welcoming foster dogs and cats into her house. Dr. Doub extends this same compassion to everyone who enters Union Park Veterinary Hospital, whether canine, feline, or human.
Pets and their owners come to the vet for numerous reasons: checkups, dentistry, vaccinations, and emergency care, to name a few. Whatever the reason, Dr. Doub and her team make the process as easy as possible. They allow drop-off appointments so people don't have to miss work, and they make house calls for older pets who've lost their bus passes.
Joan and Dennis Dalebout have owned Abraxas Pet Resort since 1982, and along with their staff, they pamper pets with meticulous grooming services and daycare or overnight care. Nestled inside a barn-like structure known as the Big Dog House, the resort boasts a groomery that employs quality pet products unavailable in most pet stores. Outdoors, patches of grass and sand as well as an exercise area help pooches to play off excess energy, whereas small playhouses and pools provide ideal spots to lounge or work on a tan.
The Animal Park, a full-service grooming, boarding, and daycare facility, bestows quadruped companions with a cage-free retreat. In each of the supervised indoor and outdoor small-dog (30 lbs. and under, starting at $20/night) and large-dog (more than 30 lbs., starting at $25/night) facilities, tail-waggers share olfactory secrets or pose for CM Coolidge paintings. Litter-box denizens may enjoy a stay in the Kattery Room (starting at $12/night), with its toys, mazes, climbing wall, and window perches.
