Featuring a slew of banjo-picking and fiddle-strumming professionals, the Concho Valley Bluegrass Festival will bounce to the beats of Kody Norris and the Watauga Mountain Boys—a band of country troubadors specializing in traditional mountain style bluegrass—as well as the McPherson Family, Abilene's own Gap Mountain, Triple L, and the gospel tunes of IIIrd Generation. San Angelo's Concho Grass hosts the hodgepodge of mandolin magicians at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. Attendees can check out goodies from local vendors, bid on a quilt at the silent auction, enter the raffle to fulfill thrill-seeking quotas, or grab a home-cooked lunch between sets. Outdoor enthusiasts can set down stakes pavilion-side for dry camping and full RV hookups at an additional cost to soak in a sunset after a day of dancing. Proceeds from the banjo bash benefit the Concho Valley Home for Girls and Children's Emergency Center, an organization that offers an abode to kids in need.

Concho Springs Golf Course tempts tee ticklers with more than 6,000 yards of foliage-lined public fairway. With today's deal, club clobberers can arrive any day of the week, weather and dragon migrations permitting (up to a $15 value/player). Players can hop astride a cart to buzz between the course's nine holes (up to a $12 value/rider), or call upon friendly sparrows to airlift them from green to green. Swingers who wish to finish under par must successfully sidestep the course's 21 sand traps and perform quaint dance numbers for the six parent traps. While not included in today's deal, golfers can arrive early to warm up on the driving range or spill their bucket of balls to distract a squirrel while they steal its wallet.

Angelo Paintball facilitates the stress-relieving, adrenaline-pumping, and teamwork-promoting benefits of paintball inside well-appointed facilities. Well aware of the soul-crushing ennui that accompanies paintball played inside empty gymnasiums, Angelo Paintball provides eight different playing fields filled with trenches, forts, and bunkers to help gamers let loose and practice their stealth techniques in a challenging variety of scenarios. Paint-splattered participants are asked to wear loose-fitting clothing, a hat, and comfortable running shoes that can get dirty or colorfully made over. Equipment rental includes facemasks and goggles to cover heads while hands clutch a fully equipped paintball gun and hearts fill with the courage required to stand laughing in the face of 500 flying paintballs. Smaller paintball guns with one third of the impact of regular paintball guns are also available for children eight and up. Friends are welcome to combine Groupons for a large outing, but Angelo Paintball requires reservations for parties of six or more.
