The group of more than 30 doctors and surgeons at Eye LASIK Midland repairs ocular orbs with blade-free laser refractive eye care. The VISX Star 4 ActiveTrak laser system uses a 3-D eye tracker to move the laser whenever the eye moves to keep the procedure precise. Clients must attend a consultation beforehand, and like a 4 year old shaving, the procedure involves no blades. With this Groupon, clients can repair vision in one eye (a $2,795 value), and use the remainder to apply toward corrective laser surgery for any other eye on the body. Though most patients do not require glasses after LASIK, there is no guarantee that all patients will no longer need glasses afterward.

Q&A with Neil Hall and Naturopath & Nutritionist Lisa Rhodes, Bowenwork Practitioners

Do you offer your customers any extra perks?

We take the time to listen to your problems and concerns. We try not to keep you waiting. We often research questions you may have and provide verbal or often written information about your inquiry. We provide a newsletter with various kinds of health information at no charge to you.

Out of your entire repertoire, which is your favorite service to perform and why?

Our Bowenwork sessions are my favorite because of the favorable results?many times when all else has failed. Our natural approach brings out the amazing healing abilities of our bodies. New clients are usually amazed at how relaxed they become during the session. It usually achieves results more quickly than many other approaches and results are usually long-term.

What steps do you take to make your clients feel at ease?

We express our concern and interest in them and their problems. We help them to feel relaxed and comfortable in relating their problems and health issues, and explain that the Bowenwork session can be administered through light clothing, so there is no disrobing.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

In addition to Bowenwork sessions, we offer naturopathy and nutritional services to help our clients improve their health.

The self-defense sires at Hong's Martial Arts, led by U.S National Team Coach Master Hong, walk awakening warriors of all ages through strength-training forms such as tae kwon do, pradal serey, and hapkido. Upon enrollment, students are decorated in their own ceremonial uniform, a revered garb that commands honor and lunch money. First-year fighters begin by strengthening their minds and bodies in tae kwon do, a physical art that nurtures respect and discipline. Upon advancement, participants move on to pradal serey, a form of Cambodian kickboxing. As students watch their belt magically transform from white to yellow, like an egg run over by a school bus, sparring practices extend self-defense skills and give them the opportunity to don fashionable padding provided by the studio (only sparring requires padding). Upon achieving the highly regarded black belt, self-defenders can sweep through the moves of hapkido and grappling.
