Growing up, Jessi Shidransky would stand at his window, framing the view with an invisible camera. Today, he carries professional camera equipment and snaps photographs from a much closer angle. He works with his subjects to capture the emotions of memorable occasions?including a newborn's first months, weddings, and bar mitzvahs held in a volcano?as well as artful peeks at ordinary life. Many of his shoots are set outdoors, taking advantage of the natural light and informal atmosphere to create shots such as a girl in rain boots on a balcony to a boy swinging through trees in a pirate's bandana.

Pumpkin Stations turn pumpkin shopping and family-park excursions into a one-stop trip. Each of the five Pumpkin Station locations houses a variety of family-fun activities, from giant slides and mini-trains to sky fighter rides and carousels. Mission Valley, for instance, enables visitors to get their sea legs with an on-site boat ride, while the El Cajon game zones gives them a place to rest in between activities. No matter the location, families, friends, and groups can stroll through an asphalt pumpkin patch to seek out a large, plump gourd to take home and carve into a jack-o-lantern.

At Inflatable World, a 35-foot slides tower above 40,000 square feet of space as youngsters cavort among the outdoor park's 12 air-filled and watery attractions. Nestled among the soaring slides, bounce domes shelter leaping tykes and obstacle courses challenge adventurers to navigate obstructed terrain. Themed inflatables in the shapes of dragons, pirates, and saber-toothed tigers host open-play participants, as well as parties and fundraisers. Inflatable World also rents out its stock for events, pairing football enthusiasts with end-zone bounce houses or existentialists with specially deflated items.

At Boomers!, thrill-seeking families and fun-enabling friends can attack a variety of appealing attractions, including mini golf, batting cages, bumper boats, and the button-mashing joys housed inside the exhilarating game room. The Vista location entertains families of sharpshooters with a blacklight-illuminated laser-tag arena before little ones climb and crawl through the Kidopolis play area. The El Cajon and San Diego locations let rivals celebrate the spirit of competition as they fly past each other in speedy go-karts or have a snail-paced Ferris wheel race at the kid's county fair. Unlimited pass holders at the El Cajon location can also scale the 32-foot-tall climbing wall, which, like America, enables citizens to climb to the top via myriad routes.

WaveHouse San Diego exhilarates guests with a nonstop beach party that spans four restaurants, various bars, wave machines, and a 400,000-gallon saltwater pool. Guests catch 10-foot waves in the FlowBarrel, which pumps 100,000 gallons of water per minute to simulate the powerful waves and inter-island motorways of Hawaii. After a session of backflips and wipeouts, surfers can fuel up on burgers and brews at the Bar & Grill before grooving out to a live show on the outdoor stage.
