Born in Brazil, Leonardo "Gloglo" Seixas honed his understanding and mastery of Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the headquarters of one of the art's founders, Grandmaster Helio Gracie. Now, with nearly 25 years of experience in hand, he and his team instruct the time-tested form of self-defense to kids and adults at his academy. Classes focus on the fundamentals of jiu-jitsu—balance and leverage—and are scaled to all skill levels. Students can make general fitness their primary goal or focus on training for competitive matches. Whatever the reason for engaging the martial art, the instructors are sure to imbue students with discipline and self-confidence.

Students grapple their way across 112 Swain tatame-style mats, which cover more than 2,400 square feet of space inside Heroes Martial Arts. The studio specializes in teaching Brazilian jujitsu courses, including classes that introduce students to the fundamentals and incorporate judo. The gym's seven locations feature lead walls that rise as high as 50 feet off the ground, though height isn't the only dimension that makes the space feel immense. Blossom Valley Tumbling's founder and head coach Donny Mozzetti first got his start in the competitive cheer world when he joined his high school's squad. Now, 18 years later, he continues to pass on his experience and love for tumbling and stunt feats. Mozzetti and the rest of his staff lead tiered classes that start from basic flexibility and balance before moving step by step to advanced techniques such as running handsprings and high-flying stunts and cradles.
