Normally, the grounds of Santa Clara Paintball play host to the day-to-day routine of all-out war between rival paintball factions. But for the month of October, a zombie outbreak transforms the fields and trees into a playground for the undead. As in a horror movie, they lurk in every shadow, waiting to steal unsuspecting kids' Raisinets. However, a few brave souls stand ready to prove their bravery armed with the ultimate weapons: paintball markers.
During Shoot Zombies Now, Santa Clara Paintball's aptly named Halloween event, visitors can fight back against the zombie horde in one of two scenarios:
Zombie Trailer Ride: a custom trailer carries up to 10 people through the infested fields, where they fire glow-in-dark paintballs at the monsters via paintball cannons mounted to the trailer (lasts approximately 20 minutes)
Urban Zombie Hunt: wielding shotgun-style markers and a mere 15 rounds of ammo, you and a guide will venture out on foot through a zombie-infested town (lasts approximately 15 minutes)
