Stephen and Elizabeth, the certified instructors of Tulsa Yoga Therapy, unite more than 20 years of combined yoga-teaching experience to lead beginner-friendly yoga classes. Their focus is on mindful poses and slow transitions, which is also James Cameron’s focus whenever half his filmed scenes for a movie go missing. With backgrounds in massage therapy, anatomy, and rehabilitation movement, Stephen and Elizabeth structure their classes around students recovering from injuries and those new to yoga. In addition to one-hour group classes, they invite clients with more serious physical limitations to one-on-one therapeutic bodywork or private sessions. During these workouts, instructors tailor moves to specific imbalances or injuries.
Founder Stephanie Flynn's passion for fitness and self-empowerment helped her to become the Bill Phillips Transformation champion in 2009, and she now channels that determination to help others to get fit. Focused on encouraging women held back by low self-esteem, Fit Body's instructors motivate clients through cardio and resistance training while sharing healthy-eating principles to launch a two-pronged assault on fat. Supplemented by accountability and peer support, the programs strive to burn calories in a short time period without forcing clients into starvation diets or extreme workouts such as gator wrestling.

Housed inside a capacious 50,000-square-foot training facility, Xtreme Performance Center provides exercise equipment, a pool, a basketball court, and energetic group classes led by a knowledgeable staff. One-month memberships afford gym-goers access to muscle-nurturing weights and lung-stimulating cardio equipment, as well as entry to the 25-meter indoor pool, where three lanes let swimmers glide powerfully through the water without constant arguments about their water wings slapping a neighbor's floating easy chair. Alternatively, five fitness classes or all-inclusive three-month memberships let exercisers drop in to specialized co-ed classes for a mix of strength and conditioning workouts. Regardless of age, background, or number of blue ribbons from flexing competitions, muscle coaxers can punch their way through mixed-martial-arts courses, pummel bags in kickboxing classes, or power their way through intense boot camps.
With an all-access pass to a full class schedule and all exercise components in the Just for Ladies facility, gentlewomen will glisten and gleam as they sculpt their upper and lower bodies using the Shapemaster toning system. These silently motorized toning tables use repetitive isokinetic motion to flatten abdominals, improve posture, and increase one's range of motion—working both sides of the body equally rather than just the one used to dangle perilously from cliffs. Otherwise, sweat it out on a variety of cardio machines, including stair climbers, stationary bikes, treadmills, yackety saxes, and ellipticals—all equipped with TVs to keep boredom at bay. To keep sweat donations social, Just for Ladies' expert instructors blast groups of bodies with classes in aerobics, Pilates, yoga, and Zumba (classes vary by location).
