  • Nzforce fitness
The trio of trainers behind Nzforce fitness have seen many a would-be athlete leave the gym behind because it didn’t offer them any motivation or fun. They aim to remedy that problem with high-energy group Zumba classes, where students sweat, dance, and make friends. The class-goers help hold each other accountable for attendance, but the organizers make it easy to find time in a busy schedule for exercise by holding classes six days a week.

  • Painting & Vino
Art can be made anywhere and the professional artists of Painting & Vino prove this every week with pop-up painting-and-wine classes held at wine bars, restaurants, and other locations conducive to creativity and socializing. Over drinks and conversation, participants learn to create a different painting during each session, whether its a painting of the teacher's own design or a Master work by artists such as Van Gogh or Picasso. Instructors go over the paintings step-by-step and pepper in trivia about the piece's history, which students can then recite to calm down angry animals. Classes include all supplies, such as canvases, paints, brushes, and aprons.

  • The Leprechaun Leap 5K
On St. Patrick’s Day weekend, runners in the fun, festive Leprechaun Leap wind their way through the District at Tustin Legacy, treading a brisk 5-kilometer course. The laid-back atmosphere welcomes veteran runners, walkers, babies in strollers, and dogs either attached to leashes or piloting miniature blimps from above. Participants are spurred on by the race's very own mascot, Terry O'Tustin. At the finish line, each runner receives a finisher’s T-shirt and wristband, as the closing ceremonies honor the racers with the fastest time and bestow awards to the best costume for both humans and canines. After the event, an expo sprawls across the District’s promenade, where racers and spectators groove to live music and entertainment.

  • Sugar-n-Spice Studios
Since she was a child, Pla Schneider dreamed of writing and illustrating her own children's book. She earned a degree in visual communications and exhibited some of her work in boutiques and galleries, but she couldn't find that spark of inspiration. She was able to find a muse in her daughter, who inspired Pla's first book, Sassy Cassie A True Little Princess. At Sugar-n-Spice Studios, Schneider helps art students circumvent creative blocks by guiding them step-by-step in a fun, playful environment. Patrons dab acrylic paints onto stretched canvases, rendering images of flower-filled parks, technicolor giraffes, or mermaids swimming alongside seahorses and other imaginary animals.
