The hairstylists and aestheticians at Serendipity Salon & Spa dedicate themselves to making clients look and feel their best. They show this dedication with thorough consultations before they perform any haircut, color, or makeover services. That way, they can customize services to each client while learning about their deepest beauty desires.
The MVP haircut is reserved for guys who want the brawn of a chiseled cut with the extreme adrenaline rush of a pleasant pampering. Following careful instructions or expert intuition, stylists can clean up the edges without sacrificing any degree of edginess. A thorough shampoo and scalp massage ensures an itch-free walk off, and a neck and shoulder massage with steamed towels leaves cleaned-up batters with the zonal focus to connect on any upcoming office pitch.
Tell us about your business.
As a makeup artist, I help clients look their best for weddings or other special events, give beauty makeovers to people who want to update their everyday images, or for just a fun girls night out. I get the rewards of helping people feel good about themselves, as well as [the opportunity to teach] and send clients home with tips on how to achieve everyday glamor results for themselves.
The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
The main part of our salon is decorated in what we call contemporary Tuscan style. The makeup area is decked out for the most discerning of tastes. I've tried to amp up the glam in my space to coincide with glam in my makeovers. It's a huge hit.
Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?
We have 62 years of experience combined between our five stylists in our salon. Our owner is a Goldwell Certified Colorist and former Goldwell Color educator. We also have a hair extension specialist on staff and everyone is very strong behind the chair. Nicole McGinnis, owner of Reveal Salon & Aesthetics, reveres her clients' unique attributes. Although her salon's service menu lists a predictable cast of haircuts, facials, and manicures, McGinnis never follows a formula when it comes to administering treatments. Instead, she evaluates the client's traits and hopes, and customizes the treatment to fit. "I love making people feel pampered and cared for," she says. This also rings true of her staff, a crew of five stylists, one master barber, and a nail technician.
As a specialist in microdermabrasion and chemical peels, McGinnis expertly resurfaces skin and decks that are allergic to sandpaper. And, as a loyal consumer of Rhonda Allison skincare products, she assembles product suites that yield professional-grade results. According to McGinnis, "They use the purest ingredients (no dyes, colors perfumes, or additives) while also using the most effective formulas."
Aesthetician Emily Andrews works with clients to enhance their natural beauty with waxing, facials, makeup services, and spray-tanning services. Keeping up-to-date on the latest industry trends, Emily uses products such as stripless wax, which removes unwanted hair from the root without the use of cloth strips or telekinesis, helping to minimize waste and leaving clients with soft, smooth skin. A slew of skin issues can be addressed with one of her glycolic peels, including age spots, large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Salon Glo's Megan Box crafts chip-free nail accessories in one of 50 Creative Shellac polish colors that endure up to two weeks of playing real life. Hand and foot honings begin with an exfoliating scrub and a cuticle grooming, prepping digits before a lotion application swathes newly fresh skin to amp up moisture retention like Poseidon's recruiting agents. After a treatment mask smoothes feet, UV rays fuse one of 50 Shellac hues onto nails to colorfully gird digits against chips and streaks for up to one fortnight. Set against the backdrop of the salon's art-filled walls, nail polishings grant paws the stylish confidence necessary to stop hiding inside musty baseball gloves.
