"I breathe, sleep, and have an obsession with hairdressing," admits seasoned stylist Susan Hardesty. Susan's passionate enthusiasm serves her well in the salon, where she draws from this intense dedication to transform hair with an array of styling services. She treats clients to luxurious scalp massages before snipping up new styles and taming frizz with conditioning treatments from premium product lines such as Kenra and Pureology. She also adorns hair with colorful feather extensions, lacy ribbons, and glamorous tinsel. To top it all off, Susan can expertly frame faces in both natural-looking and creative highlights, as she is particularly skilled at coloring treatments. The versatile beautician also extends her expertise to makeup, offering application services and makeup lessons that teach her clients how to recreate looks on their own.
Eyeliner can make you look youthful, or mature. It can balance the features, or throw off the face's symmetry and leave your look out of balance. These are just a few things aesthetician Jin Mi has learned in her 13 years applying makeup professionally. Her cosmetic skills have been a hit at New York Fashion Week, and her brow-shaping expertise has been featured in WAG magazine. Now in Orlando, Jin extends her know-how to beauty-seekers in need of makeup services, facials, and waxing.
Aesthetician Rachel brings out clients' best selves with an array of spa services. Hot-stone pedicures and spa manicures treat feet and hands to warm steam towels and aromatic oils, and facials and airbrush tans illuminate skin to bring out an inner glow. Waxes smooth over rough patches on the face, legs, or extra third leg, softening skin to complement its refreshed look.
When Kimberlea Isaac and Kelly Newton set out to start a spa, they made a commitment to the planet, to animals, and to their clients. When they concoct the products used in skincare, massage, and mani-pedi services, they do so by whisking organic and natural ingredients, making the products free of synthetic dyes, fragrances, and preservatives. Many of the items are chosen for their nonirritating qualities, and, just like the SATs, nothing has been tested on animals. Even the containers—which swaddle retail items in the onsite boutique—are friendly to the earth, and clients who bring in empties get a discount on future services. The rest of the packaging is recycled or recyclable, and printed with vegetable-based, biodegradable ink.
