Daufuskie Discoveries creates opportunities to explore Daufuskie Island's lush, historic habitat with customized guided or private outings. An enclosed or open-air water taxi quickly shuttles small groups from Hilton Head or Savannah to the island's three-mile stretch of sandy beach in 30 minutes, with captains tossing out facts about Calibogue Sound and Cooper River. Customers disembark and board their conveyance of choice—golf cart, boat, or shoes—before bursting through the tree line into specific isle regions, such as Bloody Point, which houses the Bloody Point Cemetery and Bloody Point Lighthouse & Silver Dew Winery. Three-hour private cruises skirt the coastline as a guide artfully describes the sun dipping beneath marshes as a hot air balloon deflated by a stampeding herd of storks.

With over 200 councils in North America, Girls on the Run has inspired over 600,000 young ladies in grades three–eight to step up to life’s starting line with courage, strength, and confidence. The positive youth-development program instills adolescents with self-esteem while enhancing emotional, mental, and social development throughout a 10-week training program, which culminates in the celebratory 5K run.

Mounted atop a fleet of two-wheeled city seers, Savannah Bike Tours' groups glide past scenery on two-hour guided tours. Cruising at an easy pace through Savannah's quiet side streets, broad boulevards, and picturesque historic district, city-licensed guides answer questions and expound upon architecture, botany, local history, and glory tales of the bicycle's predecessor—the gravy train with biscuit wheels. As the tour rolls by points of interest, such as the emerald landscape of Forsyth Park, stops are made to accommodate the numerous photo opportunities that present themselves. Helmets and bicycles are included in the cost of the tour, though tourers can choose to bring their own pedal-powered two-wheeler and hollowed-out coconut shell.

Savannah's Clay Spot familiarizes fledgling sculptors with ceramic art during two-hour introductory classes. Donatello-inspired duos can journey to the center's fully equipped studio, where they are encouraged to craft strategically shaped bisques upon a potter's wheel or hand-sculpt a personal collection of Bob Dole statuettes. After students have finished their muddy masterpieces, the studio's kiln gurus will fire and glaze pieces to ensure durability. Students can then take completed works home. Though the center provides students with tools and equipment, students must purchase clay from the studio's specialized stock.

The Savannah Beerathon mimics a marathon with a tongue-in-cheek lineup of 26 bar hops, each location pouring a different featured craft brew. The Savannah Morning News profiled the event, which taps into the city's burgeoning craft-beer culture for an eclectic tasting tour.

Each venue boasts beer specials—though the brews themselves are not included with admission as per Georgia law. The suds range from Left Hand milk stout and Blue Point toasted lager to Sam Adams' Octoberfest. Participants meet new friends and new beers throughout the day, raising a glass to good taste and soaking up the sounds of live bands and DJs. The organizers encourage the wearing of team outfits and welcome designated drivers and sober pack-horses to join their friends at the venues.

Savannah ATA buffs bodies and bolsters confidence with holistic fighting and defense classes centered around the ancient art of tae kwon do. Classes ($50 value/two weeks) help increase focus and self-esteem through a variety of exhilarating formats including karate for kids (up to age 13) and martial arts for adults. An experienced, safety-minded, and mostly uninvisible staff of instructors guides fighters through each group class, promoting perseverance and confidence and teaching awareness skills, and the included uniform ($40 value) gives force wielders the appropriate garb for their newfound skill set and Jedi–themed tea parties.
