MKG Seattle is a fitness triple threat. First come their martial-arts classes for adults and kids, in which students learn to jump, punch, and kick in styles from muay thai and kickboxing to the Filipino art of kali. Second, an intense MAX10 bootcamp uses martial-arts-inspired moves to build stamina and strength.
Third, MKG Seattle dedicates 3,000 square feet of space to CrossFit, which co-owner Tammy Wilson originally picked up to supplement her Muay Thai training. Here, she and the other CrossFit coaches guide new and seasoned students through each daily-changing workout, adjusting weights and reps to ensure everyone is equally challenged. During any given workout of the day, students may perform functional movements like squatting with weighted barbells, swinging kettlebells, or leaping tall buildings in a single bound. The gym also offers childcare during select hours throughout the week.
