Strolling the marble floors of Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10, moviegoers in July 2012 saw something odd beyond the entryway’s stone columns: Batman’s motorcycle from The Dark Knight. Displayed to raise even more anticipation for the trilogy’s conclusion, the prop was the most obvious example of film coming alive at Premiere Theaters, though not the only one. 3D images pop from select Oaks Stadium screens, while the latest digital picture and sound coalesce during immersive Hollywood films. Relax during every feature in tiered rocking seats with retractable armrests and ample room to stretch out.

For the past century, a dragon has haunted the town of Melbourne, soaring over it by night and lighting the sky with bursts of flame. Locals have tried to slay him, but none of them have succeeded?hence this year's Dragon Festival, a two-day celebration with an ulterior motive. The fighter who proves best in the games will have to face down the dragon once and for all.

At least, so the legend goes. But even if Gedeon turns out to be a myth, the festival is real, blending elements of Renaissance Faires with pieces of Highland Games. As Celtic tunes and live performances fill the air with music, revelers try their hand at games from classic cornhole to "vegetable justice," in which they pelt a stockade-bound wretch with tomatoes and cabbages. Artisans showcase their wares at a variety tables, meanwhile, displays of old-timey crafts, such as blacksmithing and welding, give visitors glimpses of another era. As though that weren't enough excitement, acrobats, stilt-walkers, sword battles, jousting knights, and fire breathers stroll through the crowd, adding a surreal touch to the proceedings?which benefit the Save Dragon Point Foundation.

At Chillin the Most, chef Steve Brust begets a spread of hearty, refined American eats mixed in with what the restaurant calls "HealthyLicious" options. Inside three separate dining areas–each outfitted with a different atmosphere, and different music–visitors take on grilled ahi tuna, or grilled cheese sandwiches bolstered by beer-braised shredded short ribs. A wide drink selection headlined by 24 beers on tap accompanies meals, as does live entertainment throughout the week including dance parties and live bands.

Equipped with 3-D capabilities and digital sound, Spotlight Theatres Searstown 10 can easily handle the increasingly sophisticated demands of modern film projection. The theater is also preparing for future innovations coming down Hollywood's pipeline. Here are three upgrades on the horizon: Tantalus 3D

The latest action extravaganza based on Greek mythology. As the greedy Tantalus is punished by the gods and trapped between water he can't drink and food he can't reach, audiences feel like they're there with him thanks to the magic of 3-D glasses with the lenses removed.

End Times

Advances in CGI and multitrack editing have allowed Hollywood to layer the final five minutes of every Best Picture–winning film into a single cathartic joyride. The festival circuit has praised the sequence where Michael Corleone orchestrates an assassination of Forrest Gump, Rocky, and Mozart just as they board swan-ships in the Grey Havens, only to be avenged by hordes of medieval Scotsmen led by Lawrence of Arabia.

Dances With Wolves

Now that technology has caught up to Kevin Costner's original vision of the frontier on the cusp of modernity, this classic has received a digital remastering. Lieutenant John Dunbar is stationed on the edge of Sioux territory, but soon finds himself torn between the opposing worlds of unstoppable Western expansion and simple tribal virtues. The bittersweet film tells the universal tale of old versus new. Also, everyone rides unicorns.

The history of today's Atlanta Braves traces back to 1876 in Boston, where the team played as the Red Stockings. In the more than 100 years since, the club lived like a nomadic tribe, claiming two World Series titles in separate cities before finally landing in Atlanta in 1966. There, they found reason to settle down, winning an unprecedented 14 consecutive division titles, as well as another World Series in 1995. Throughout the years, many of baseball's all-time greats have donned the Braves uniform, including Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and Cy Young. Opened in 1997, Turner Field serves as the club's home turf, relaying the action on a 29'x38' BravesVision video board as a 27' neon tomahawk menaces visiting players and vegetables alike.
