Located within Studio Fifth Avenue Salon, Skin by Brynne has tended to faces and skin for 18 years. They offer a wide range of facial and waxing services that include diamond microdermabrasion, brow and bikini waxing, and enzyme peels. Technicians use high-quality products from brands such as Dermalogica, Repêchage, and A Natural Difference.
Aestheticians Lilly Castillo and Casey Torres each have their specialties: Lilly knows chemical peels and eyelash extensions, and Casey has mastered custom facials and waxing. But the two have plenty in common, too. Both skin specialists have eight years of experience, and both use Coats Aloe skincare products to create healthy complexions and pop blown-up paper bags to scare away wrinkles.
They also both work out of Head over Heels, a beauty haven outfitted with a private pedicure room and Miss Trendy retail boutique. In the seven years since owner Sarah Reichman founded Head over Heels at the precocious age of 23, the spot has bloomed into a well-established salon and spa where 11 different beauty designers perform acrylic manicures, brow arching, haircuts, and skincare services using Rhonda Allison products.
Mystique Medical Spa battles the signs of age with body contouring, facial injections, and laser treatments. The team includes experts such as aesthetic nurse Jackie Burris and nurse Lisa Corbin, who—since starting her career more than 25 years ago—has trained in everything from Botox to laser hair removal. The staff also makes over clients with standard spa services such as microdermabrasion facials and spray tans.
Charlotte Pugh, a licensed nail technician who works within the Hair Visalia salon, specializes in painting detailed images onto tiny finger and toe canvases, whether made of natural keratin or acrylic. Dazzling snowflakes, ghoulish monsters, and striking depictions of the Santa Maria adorn fingertips during holidays, and glitter, feathers, and shiny solid hues decorate digits year-round. Charlotte can apply chip-resistant layers of Gelish polish to fingers and toes for longer-lasting glam, or employ paraffin wax to soften dry skin lingering on the soles, knuckles, or hearts of curmudgeonly hall monitors.
Inside Enchanted Nails, digits receive the royal treatment as experienced technician Trish Pillow applies her finely honed nail-pampering skills and a line of high-end OPI, Essie, and Creative Nail Design polishes. Additionally, clients and indulgent agoraphobics can obtain pristine jazz hands and feet from the comforts of home during diva parties.
The aestheticians at By Divine Facials coddle complexions with skin services that range from quick mini facials to advanced microdermabrasion treatments and chemical peels. Eyelash extensions add drama to every blink, and makeup artists primp faces for weddings, proms, and debutante wrestling tournaments. Waxing treatments leave skin free of unwanted stubble, and Cellussage sessions aim to vacuum up cellulite's skin dimples without surgery.
