Along the shores of Marina Bay, the staff of Better Boating keeps a wide variety of watercrafts at the ready for aquatic explorers of all types. Larger parties can take pontoons and powerboats out for a day on the water, and take advantage of such accoutrements as ski-tow bars, water slides, and speakers that play lullabies to put any nearby sharks to sleep. More easy-going explorers can paddle through surrounding waterways on standup paddleboards or kayaks, or take four- to six-hour spins on quiet and environmentally friendly Go-Float electric boats.
Brown Marine keeps fishers, recreationists, and aquaphobious goldfish afloat between the 649 miles of tree-lined shores that define Lake Murray. The team represents a culmination of more than 70 years of experience as an authorized dealer in Crestliner, Mercury, and Sea Boss watercraft, selling and repairing boats and setting guests sailing for themselves with pontoon rentals.
A love for the water came naturally to Nicole Steele thanks to a childhood spent frolicking in it with her family. A love for teaching resulted from years of competitive gymnastics, where she pushed herself past self-imposed limits thanks to encouraging coaches. At PhoenixWake Academy, Nicole gets a chance to combine her passions as a wakeboarding instructor. Day camps, private and group lessons, and clinics help pupils grasp the basics of boating and wakeboarding or complete difficult tricks thanks to patient coaching from Nicole and two other experienced teachers.
