Grape guru and oenophile Marianne Frantz, who holds a diploma from London's Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and who earned an Advanced Sommelier qualification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, founded American Wine School in 2002. She and her school have gone on to shepherd more than 10,000 sippers through classes, tastings, and grape-lookalike contests. Marianne, along with her knowledgeable staff, impart their vino wisdom in classes that range from the basic Wine 101 to the more extensive WSET certification courses. The school's classes and special events have even spilled into seven different states, teaching tongues across the nation to swirl, sniff, and taste the adult beverages and analyze why drinking wine while doing taxes is a bad idea.
Although professional instructors oversee every class at Art with a Twist, students have ample room to be spontaneous, creative, and unrestricted. The staff of seasoned artists guides pupils of all abilities through canvas paintings, ceramics, and collages, inviting participants to socialize and sip on their own drinks during sessions. During holiday seasons, special themed classes include designing Christmas stockings or carving Halloween pumpkins. During Bark Art classes, the staff stocks the studio with biscuits, and allows students to bring in and paint pictures of their own dogs or roommates they've convinced to dress in dog suits.
All of PEN Your Story Institute's core classes are formulated to instill writers with basic industry knowledge and, even more importantly, the skills to self-publish their work. Self-published instructors draw from their own experience and extensive research to assist writers in becoming published authors. The half-day workshops cover specific topics such as developing a voice, selecting editors and publishers, reaching a desired audience, and writing for other media, such as film and TV. Classes are offered in nine cities around the United States.

Bodies build pristine core muscles during 50-minute Pilates sessions, and restorative yoga focuses on the breath in tandem with subtle bends and twists. The studio's schedule hosts multiple sessions daily for all skill levels.
