Creme Benedict for brunch. It's a traditional egg Benedict served over real crab and caramelized onions. Filet mignon for dinner prepared with a choice of six made-to-order sauces.

The atmosphere is a slice of Paris in downtown Long Beach, an authentique French cafe. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

All recipes are those of a successful restaurant owner from France who has relocated to California.
In your own words, how would you describe your menu?
We have an extensive selection of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert items all made fresh from scratch upon order. Many gluten free and vegetarian options.
When you step into Boubouffe Grille, you can feel the Middle Eastern influence all around you, which is exactly what owner Wally Nasser wants. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open onto a relaxed outdoor patio, giving the space an open, airy feeling reminiscent of the Mediterranean seashore. On the walls, spotlighted vases in recessed shelves hark back to the antiquities of ancient Greece. Guests talk and laugh as they share mezze—small plates that originated centuries ago in Turkey—while playing tabletop soccer with falafel.
And the food is just as representative of the Mediterranean region as the decor. Diners can crisscross the Mediterranean Sea via stuffed north african peppers, lebanese grilled lamb chops with warm harissa, algerian chicken tagine, and traditional baklava. The eatery also serves classic breakfast dishes such as smoked-salmon-topped bagels and french toast with fresh fruit.
With 16 homemade, velvety flavors that range from cherry to peanut butter, the Italian ice at Frostbites is a spectacular dessert on its own. But the menu doesn't stop there: to create their most popular confection, sorbet cream, the staff serves scoops of their italian ice atop swirls of vanilla or chocolate frozen custard. You can even combine two or more flavors of italian ice to create a colorful sundae or shake?staffers happily hand out bite-sized samples to help you craft your perfect combo or fit a snack for later in your breast pocket. For a more substantial dessert, try a sweet crepe topped with fruit, nuts, and other toppings.
Cafe Tourane has one main pledge: to serve the freshest, healthiest coffee possible. The café cuts out the middlemen of warehouses and shipping by sending staffers on drives directly to their roaster to pick up beans, which wear the USDA organic seal to signify their total avoidance of synthetic pesticides and their love of stickers. While sipping on an espresso drink or a fruit smoothie, patrons can pop back sweet, sugar-dusted french beignets, served with a cool side of condensed milk for dipping. With plenty of natural light from front windows, the café is an ideal place to read a book with a cup of the fresh-brewed daily roast.
La Rive Gauche takes its name from the French word for the Seine River’s left bank, a source of inspiration for the likes of Ernest Hemingway and Pablo Picasso. The restaurant’s menu embraces the spirit of this iconic riverside area, spotlighting the rich flavors of gourmet French cuisine.
The Zagat-rated venue serves lobster bisque, venison loin drenched in raspberry sauce, sautéed swordfish, and other French favorites. As with any French restaurants, dessert is a must, with decadent delights such as crêpes suzette and chocolate soufflés.
