At No Limits Sports and Fitness Academy, Alisha Lopez, facility owner and trainer, works with a hand-picked staff to give clients exactly the kind of training they want. Inside a 15,700-square-foot space, she works with clients one-on-one, while other trainers lead group boot camps, teach yoga, and run sports drills. In addition to being a trainer, Lopez holds a Life Coach certification, which enables her to help clients lead happier lives, which in turn empowers them to stop living vicariously through The Game of Life.

As a movement, CrossFit rejects the idea that one needs the fancy equipment of a big gym to get in shape. Instead, its creators argued that all someone really needs to get fit is a little motivation, a knowledgeable trainer, and a big, empty room. The trainers at CrossFit 5150 embrace that idea, dubbing their gym “the box.” They like to keep it virtually empty, with minimal fitness accoutrements and a maximum amount of sweat dripping to the floor.
The staff create new routines for their charges to perform daily, but these trainers put in double the mental effort. They produce two Workouts of the Day, the first penned on a dry-erase board, letting the gym’s members know how they should break their sweat on any given date. The other is online and requires no equipment whatsoever, which helps prevent travelers, office workers, and people trapped in WiFi-equipped underground bunkers since Y2K from missing a single day of training.
Jaiya Figueras started playing football as a child and eventually tackled his way up to the professional level in Canada, cultivating a career that inspired a passion for coaching. In addition to working as a high-school teacher and football coach, Figueras spent his post-pigskin years studying sports sciences and writing books about training. Eventually, he became a personal trainer, and one of his clients was Kimi Idio. Idio wanted to reboot her sedentary lifestyle, and with the help of Figueras' individualized attention, she was able to change her body and habits. Together, the duo formed Epic, where groups harmoniously endure intense guided workouts. Some workouts focus on muscles, others incorporate unconventional props, such as weighted rubber chickens, and some are designed for runners or football players.
A sandy beach with waves crashing on the shore. A scenic park bursting with foliage. A spacious living room. Certified personal trainer Timmie Brann and her nomadic team of fitness experts can transform virtually any space into a makeshift gym. They bring their exercise equipment to locations of the client's choice and devise personalized workout plans that strive toward specific fitness goals, such as losing weight or improving overall conditioning. The trainers not only guide exercisers through workout sessions, but they also dole out nutritional advice that help facilitate full-body transformations.
The instructors at Fembody Fitness cultivate a fun, judgment-free atmosphere as they help clients forge svelte physiques during alternative fitness classes that use sensual, feminine exercises to develop confidence along with muscle tone. Seven days a week, instructors use engaging and unusual tools including ballet barres and aerial silks to develop students' stamina, incorporating graceful, feminine movements into exercises when possible. Each class culls influences from a number of fitness regimens, incorporating yoga, Pilates, or dance to create memorable workouts that leave students feeling as charged as a firefly's battery after a lightning storm.
