For 23 years, The College Review?s one-on-one and group classes have prepared students for the standardized tests and other challenges that stand between them and their future. Before high schoolers set out for the college quad's lush lawn of shredded diplomas, tutors help them master the ACT and SAT via prep courses held throughout the year, and college-counseling services aid in the rigorous application process. Current and prospective collegians can find assistance as well, whether by figuring out their loans with financial-aid planning or signing up for private tutoring for the LSAT, GRE, GMAT, or PRAXIS exams.

Self-published instructors draw from their own experience and extensive research to assist writers in becoming published authors. The half-day workshops cover specific topics such as developing a voice, selecting editors and publishers, reaching a desired audience, and writing for other media, such as film and TV. Classes are offered in nine cities around the United States.

What started out as a search for a fun alternative form of artistic expression led to the founding of an institution for preserving and sharing a millennia-old craft. That enthusiasm proved to be contagious, as more than 700 students from all ages and walks of life attended J & C Glass Studio's workshops in the first year alone.
Today, J & C Glass Studio continues to teach the art of glass blowing with instructional workshops that cater to beginner and advanced students. Passionate instructors share techniques performed almost the same way as artisans did thousands of years ago. During sessions, a mixture of sand, limestone, and silica is heated to 2,000 degrees until it reaches a honey-like consistency. From there, students shape it with tools, the power of suggestion, and their own breath, creating custom works of art that can decorate a mantel or desk for a lifetime.
